Re: Battle of Hyrdas Werewolf Game

@ tappo

Correct, I don't have an issue with what you posted in red - as in, I don't/didn't mind you asking questions to people, I won't necessarily find it villagery if it isn't, but I don't mind it, it's a pro-villa (not the same thing as villagery) thing to do.

I didn't want to arrive at the conclusion that your line was bad - just that I didn't understand why you weren't taking the same line with me initially.

What I mean is: I can buy his explanation. It's plausible. But a wolf could come up with a plausible explanation as well. I thought that he was being contradictory, it seems maybe he wasn't (unless he's a wolf all that was an post-rationalization on his part). Additionally, I didn't find him to be villagery - that's a whole different thing to do with his tone and approach. That's, again, not to say that he's a wolf, he could easily be a villager who just responded in a very role neutral (to me) way. In short: Alright, I won't push him for the contradictory thing, but I will leave my vote on him for the time being because he hasn't been villagery.

Anyway, neither me nor anyone else is no longer getting anything out of this discussion, so I will leave it be. I will re-read the thread a bit later and have this game figured out, hopefully.

I was gonna call well named practically a lock wolf if he suspected me, just because I have a lot of faith in him.

But I will grant that I have maybe been pretty role neutral thus far with my posts. I certainly haven't been wolfy though.

well named, please go into detail about your vote

Herbie, it seems you need to take care of being villagery, and I will take care of finding the wolves / clearing villas.

thingy

your case on tappokone really doesn't make any sense. by that logic i am wolfy because i didn't ask you about your vote as is several other people

furthermore, tappo's case is very nice

you should care more about your own wolf read than everyone else, and if it were a true wolf read you would provide reasons yourself. your approach to your own wolf read is anti-wolf hunting.

so really all it looks like is that you aren't sincerely wolf hunting and your wolf reads are just there for credit

Redd,

The reason your suggestion is anti-village is that the reason the seer leaves his peek in the thread is so that if he dies, it's there for the village. If by leaving his peek he's leaving almost useless information (and in fact potentially game losing information) then it is clearly <<<<<<not leaving peeks at all.

also it sounds like one of those spots where someone does something wolfy, someone votes them for it, and then they say "lol i was doing that on purpose, what a trap, YOU must be the wolf!!"

which is lol

Wow.

Wow.

Wow wow wow.

Wowwwwwww.

Holy... Wow. Just wow.

I hate to say this because it seems so level 1, but I seriously do not expect this weird answer from you as a villa. You are diplomatic and well reasoned as a villager. But you also usually are as a wolf, meh.

And I know that you have great respect for my game, so I don't know why you wouldn't want to engage me properly / talk about the game / pressure me in a different way if that's really what you wanted to do.

What the hell is this?

This ****ing pisses me off. Seriously. This shows that you didn't read it.

Even tappokone would agree that based on this that you didn't read my post at all.

This will be my last post on the matter.

What are you doing?

I know you don't play like this as a villager usually. So what are you doing?

If you're a villager, I'm thoroughly disappointed with you.

No. You didn't. Smartass. There's me being diplomatic.

You're insinuating that I voted/am voting tappokone because he didn't ask me to explain my vote on him. This is not the case. I have never stated this to be the case. Nobody except you have presented this to be the case.

I merely asked him about it. I voted him before I asked him about it (else I couldn't logically ask him about it - seeing as a prerequisite for my question would be to actually vote for him in the first place). And I then later found it suspicious that he at a later time suddenly DID want to ask about my vote on him. Which would be the direct opposite of what you're accusing me of finding wolfy about tappokone.

Re: Battle of Hyrdas Werewolf Game

Have you read my earlier posts in the thread thingy? They could perhaps shed some light for you.

don't be afraid, I'm just clicking buttons for now. You said a couple wolfy things talking to tappo. Just tone-wise. and herbie was kind of awkward. And reddboiler seemed like a less useful vote after suqata made that noob post about me/leo. although perhaps I'm giving that too much credit.

i understand

but his reason for the delay makes sense. that you didn't provide reasons on your own and wanted to be prodded to give them is wolfy.

also it doesn't make sense from a villager's perspective that you would vote him and then come up with your reason for voting him a few pages later.

I think there's a problem here:

The bits in red refer to the same thing, basically. In the first quote Timi is discussing my take on his opening posts. In the second quote he's talking about Fank's response to my take.

The issue is that Timi is quite understanding with me, yet finds Fank wolfy for liking my post. He can see how I came to the conclusion, yet finds Fank's reply incorrect and therefore wolfy. That seems like a contradiction to me.

I agree that his reason for the delay makes sense. It's fair enough that you want to think that me not providing reasons before being prodded is wolfy. In this case, it isn't though (and personally I wouldn't myself find it wolfy in general - wolves play straightforward, villagers don't). And I didn't "come up with" my reason.

Also, sorry for calling you a smartass. Super inappropriate. Feeling like what I am saying is being mischaracterized is a pet peeve of mine.
