No, I just stated that I felt good with several fake peeks. I literally mentioned this in the post that you're quoting. Forsy/mets and Boiler/Suq. And bhuber could do I guess.

Herbie told me in private that HE was only fine fake peeking bhuber maybe, but that he didn't want to fake peek anyone. And neither did I.

Herbie didn't show me those three posts. Again, in the post you JUST quoted, I say that I don't know why he leaned villa on bhuber. He just did. Maybe he stated it in the thread - I don't recall him doing so though. Those posts are MY notes.



Chain of events to make it perfectly clear:
- I tell Herbie that I don't think we should fake peek anyone (not because I didn't feel comfortable fake peeking anyone, but because I felt that it was better for me/Herbie to survive, yes, that's egotistical, I know, but it is what it is < if you're having trouble believing that this is a strategy/approach that I'd utilize, I'll happily quote conversations from before this game that show otherwise)
- Herbie agrees that we shouldn't leave a fake peek, but for a different reason though: Other than maybe bhuber he didn't feel confident enough to fake peek anyone. If you don't like this, well, take it up with Herbie.
- We leave no fake peek

There seems to be a lack of communication between us and I feel like it probably is my fault. Sorry for the confusion.

Couple of things though.

1. I find it very strange that anyone would say/think that Bhuber is the only person they feel comfortable fake peeking on day1.

2. You are telling me to take it up with Herbie but he is not here. Plus, I am not sure if Herbie and I have been in the thread together at the same time. Obv it is kind of hard for me to have this conversation with him due to us never seeing each other in the thread.

3. You are the one who brought this to my attention, not Herbie, so I do not understand this hostility and the "take it up with Herbie" when you were the one who brought it up?

1) That's fine. I sort of agree. I don't think it's totally weird though - I mean, his posts were interesting at least, they were something to take notice of, and I guess it's something that most people would probably be polarized about, they would feel strongly one way or the other. And I guess Herbie felt strongly in the way of it being villagery, and so did I (not strongly though, but I leaned that way more than the other way).

2) Well, yeah, I meant, like, if the opportunity ever arose where you two would get the chance.

3) Sorry, I get slightly hostile when people misunderstand me. It's a character flaw. I only brought all this up because tappo asked me to. I literally just told what went down wrt our fake peeks and didn't leave anything out.

No, the last part is true, but I'm gonna be honest.

I am currently deriving zero pleasure from playing this game. I wanted to give ww one last shot, partly because I thought this format sounded like fun and I've loved having masons in the past... Or the idea of it at least since we never really got to chat (and tragically, the same holds true for this game which - no ill words about Herbie, he couldn't predict the work thing - is making me sad).

But this just isn't fun. It's a chore to play and I'm way too much of an emotional player. So it's just hard work and frustrations with no pay off.

So right now I'm clinging onto two things. I want to actually try and solve this game with someone (this is what I signed up for) and I was hoping that I could do this with you instead of Herbie then. I'm not trying to get out of solving the game by leaning on someone else - I'm saying, let's put our minds together and look at every single player and reach a collective conclusion on all of them. Or something. And the other thing that I'm clinging to is that I desperately don't want to be mislynched. I'll be perfectly frank - I care more about not being mislynched than I care about winning the game. I am super prideful about this - I just really, really don't want to be mislynched, I've always considered it one of my strengths to be able to clear myself and plus it feels good to be able to work on the game without the added stress of being unclear. And it's tragic - because I don't want to be mislynched, I will put in ridicolous amounts of effort to avoid it, but this also also means that if I DO get mislynched, it hurts all the more. I would just be left with an empty feeling that there is no point to playing the game if really giving it 110 % still wasn't good enough. Not saying all this to insinuate that I wouldn't be fighting hard to avoid lynch as a wolf too obviously - I was just explaining my current mental state in this game.

You have such a good understanding of what makes someone look villagery, that I don't trust things like "oh look, he spent lots of time making a 'meh' post, he MUST be a villager". If anything, the over-villagery when you're playing for yourself doesn't feel right to me.
