This could take a while. I'm glad I didn't make it the 500 biggest hotels in Vegas.

Spoiler:
Incidentally, #500 is a Red Roof Inn on West Sahara Blvd.

Spoiler:
Yeah, I completely made that up.

Ok, so off the top of my head, these are the really huge ones...

Mandalay Bay
Luxor
Excalibur
MGM Grand
Park MGM
Aria
Cosmopolitan
Bellagio
Caesar’s Palace
Mirage
Treasure Island
Venetian
Palazzo

That’s 13. I’d strike Manadaly Bay because I think there’s something weird with how rooms are counted, with the Four Seasons and Delano on that property, given how the question was worded. No point in taking chances. Take off TI and maybe Cosmo as well and I think we’re golden.

The only large ones I can think of that are not on your list are Flamingo and Circus Circus. I am only in Vegas once a year, so you probably know better than me which hotels might be set up quirky so that they don't count because they are actually broken up into separate entities. So, bold the ones you like/trust the best..

Yes, both of those will definitely be right. I’ll drop Aria and Park MGM just in case.

Luxor
Excalibur
MGM Grand
Bellagio
Caesars Palace
Flamingo
Mirage
Venetian
Palazzo
Circus Circus

The reason for the funky wording in the question is because Wikipedia considers Venetian/Palazzo to be one hotel. Same with Wynn/Encore, City Center, and MGM Grand/Signature.

I did a little extra research to get the room count when those hotels are split up (as they should be).

Thanks to everyone for playing the inaugural auction game.

I've got some more ideas for questions if more people are interested. Or I'd be up for teaming up with someone if anyone else wants to throw some questions around.

Incidentally, JMurder submitted 20 hotels in a PM and got 19 right.

Harrah's > Encore

gg fellas

Sorry for being mostly useless DWetz. I think I noted in the sign up thread that I'd be bad at this lol. You drew the short straw

Nah we did fine. Just ran into the juggernaut in the final (which is the best place to do it).

Thanks bolt, I love this game/format. Looking forward to the next one, or I could run one myself if you wanted to play.

Thx AK, it was great playing with you.

gg DW/Prip, I think you got hosed a bit on the categories, the two we answered were both wheelhouse categories for me.

Ggs all. Thx for running bolt. Well played TN. I think we got lucky in ditching the tough ones and getting the ones where we felt ok. Other than the airport one I really didn’t help that much. I think you could have got there on your own. Lol. Anyway, Team Canada did ok. Lol

Bolt. I can run one of these so you can play but probably would not be until next week or the week after.

I would play again, but kind of at my capacity in terms of running games right now

I can't imagine why you think you're at your capacity!

I was searching for some posts and found this game. Has it been ran again? It looks great.
