I'm actually taking my family to Costa Rica for Thanksgiving; I've never been there before, and most of them have never done any international traveling at all -- it's supposed to be a really nice and beautiful place, and definitely welcoming

nah, it's true that my trip isn't very adventurous. when i was younger i was much more interested in hanging out in some tiny village in rural china, or with jungle people in south america, or way up in tibet.

strangely, as i've aged i'm just not as interested. i'll take comfort over adventure.
