Welcome to the Dungeon!
The four Event participants have been randomized into the following order:
Player1
Player2
Player3
Player4
Warning: As usual, collusion is strictly prohibited. However, players may freely talk to each other in the Event Thread.
Goal: The goal of the game is to either be the first to win two stashes of
treasure or to be the last player standing.
Synopsis: Treasure is found in a dungeon of monsters that the players themselves are going to build. One of the players will explore the dungeon using one of the Adventurers listed below, and either lose a life or find a treasure. Lose two lives, and you are out of the Event.
Gameplay:
Phase 1: Dungeon Building- At the start of the first round, Player 1 will choose which Adventurer will explore the dungeon the players are currently building (look at the Adventurers' table below).
- During each successive round, the player who braved the previous dungeon will choose the Adventurer that will brave the current one.
- Each player will be privately shown a random monster from the Monster Deck. That player will have the following options:
- Pass. The player is removed from that round, and will not take part in dungeon building or adventuring until the round is over.
- Add the monster to the dungeon. The other players will not be aware which monster was added.
- Discard that monster from the dungeon AND an item of equipment from the Adventurer that was chosen to brave the dungeon. The discarded equipment item will be shown, but the discarded monster will not.
- A player will have 2 minutes to make this decision.
- All discarded items will return to the Adventurer's Equipment at the start of each new round.
- If the monster deck has been dealt in its entirety, players will only be able to Pass or Brave the Dungeon.
- Once there is only one player who has not Passed, or there is a player that decided to Brave the dungeon, the second phase will begin.
Phase 2: Braving the Dungeon- The player who decided to Brave the Dungeon will use the Adventurer that was chosen at the start of the round, and will bring along all items of equipment that have not been discarded.
- The moderator will then reveal the monsters to the player in the order in which they were added to the dungeon.
- If a player's equipment allows them to defeat a monster, they will remove it from the dungeon and advance to the next one, if there are any. If there are no more monsters and the player is still alive, they will win one stash of treasure.
- If a player cannot defeat a monster, they will lose N Hit Points, where N is the monster's strength (see the Monster Deck table). Once a player has 0 Hit Points or less, they lose a life.
- If a player loses two lives, they are out of the event.
