Toganim, in addition to what others have explained, Zelic has become sort of a POG meme (as you may have guessed) representing cheating. He's the only player ever to have gotten caught multiaccounting in a POG game, so this makes some sense.


In case the world changes dramatically and I do get to post in my usual style (unlikely but possible, I guess), there are a number of people who haven't played with me who need to know a bit about that style (and a few idiots who need constant reminders). To wit: Provided I'm not on my phone, my posts will be long, complex, and full of what looks like equivocation. I'm unlikely actively to pursue lynching anyone; I'll defend a lot of people, but almost always with reservations. I don't make wolf and village lists. I'll spend about five times as much energy refuting others' arguments as making my own. About mid game I'll develop my own arguments more strongly. None of this is wolfy from me, it's just how I play; lynching me for it would be a serious error.


I'm out, making the 500 mile drive to Grandma's. Drafters, downgrade me from sixth round to seventh or eighth, given the difficulties I'm likely to have getting my arguments across with limited connection time. And keep in mind that I'll have zero opportunity to participate in wolfchat.

My participation will depend on where I'm drafted. If you pick me number one overall I will, single-handedly, win you the game I am in. If I am drafted last then I will probably play very poorly. I tend to exactly meet expectations so pick me wherever.


But seriously, my weekend participation (ie. evening on Fri until mid-afternoon on Sunday) will be entirely dependent on what my friends want to do over the weekend and if I end up watching football at my house or going out.

I keep wanting to write metagame posts about how I'm going to play and what not but it just feels slightly lame, or at least it does if I do it. I'm not saying it's lame when atak does it. I'm no atakdog ldo

Anyway no one should lynch me ever because I don't like getting lynched.

For those who are curious about why mets is bitching, here's what I was thinking...

I polled the captains for availability. Mets answered later than the others. By that time I had locked in the draft time. This game has a lot of moving parts, and I'm far less flexible as a result.

The captains don't just draft players. They assign roles, and there are other twists I've thought of. It's a game in itself, and the captains have to be there for the draft.

The interaction between the captains is also a lot of what I get out of running this format. I want to see a battle of wits in real time, not a draft-bot.

I'm sorry mets won't be a captain. I think he's one of the top werewolf minds on POG, and he's unique. But the scheduling just doesn't work, so I asked Chris to take his spot.
