Tbh, I thought the modkill was excessive in itself, much less the extra NK, but my team took issue with the angleshoot and the mod made a judgment call, neither of which I was prepared to argue against. But I am personally as anti-modkill as possible, so maybe don't listen to me.

I think the modkill is necessary based on the severity of the offense (was a pretty severe angleshoot), and perhaps giving us a 20% fireball guaranteed as compensation (so that it has to level up to become a full kill)

but ye, full extra night kill seems slightly excessive, not that i'm complaining.

Confirm, I didn't know it was coming, and didn't know how to react. I personally would have preferred to keep Donat in the POE.

Confirm as well, I got a PM letting me know we had an extra NK coming, and it was a deciding factor in whether I deny all knowledge and play confused villager telling the "real seer" to stay quiet while everybody laughs off kbar for wrong peeks, or counter claim and out myself 100%.

It's just another asymmetry of information issue. With 2 NK's, no lynching had to be optimal, & kbar fake claiming there would make a lot more sense if he knew he had 2 NK's. I've never been in a game with this situation so didn't know if there was a standard way of handling it either. I lol'd.

When Ace PM'd me about the situation, Donat3llo already killed hardcoreUFO. Obviously, it would have been ideal if Ace modkilled Donat3llo straight after Donat3llo made his first post about the late vote, but game mods should not be expected to read the thread all day.

Generally speaking, players are expected to report rule breaching to the mod. So although Donat3llo's kill of hardcoreUFO severely impacted gameplay, I do not think it should have been taken into account while making the decision.

Unfortunately, I think there is a "boy who cried wolf" situation here. Can you say with certainty that Donat3llo's late vote was not intentional and he was just trying to get a reaction (which, by the way, is still a big angleshot)?

Frankly, I cannot. He lied to the thread about the intentionality of his late vote, but it is impossible to know if he was lying when he said that he did in on purpose, or where he was lying when he said that he was lying about it.

If he indeed voted late on purpose, that play could have cleared chuckleslovakian (whether it actually did is, IMO, besides the point) and that, in my mind, warrants the extra nightkill.

I understand that this measure might have seemed excessive to some of you (it was harsher than what wolf VoraciousReader asked) and I regret the fact that it upset some of you, but I think it was warranted.

I think 2 kills is probably fine, but I feel like UFO should be factored in when considering fairness. & yeah, I guess we all should have reported it when we saw it. Never seen a situation like that before, though.

But yeah, I was obviously pretty disappointed with the behavior at the time, too, so I get it.
