I'm completely fine with (and have even pushed) BATM as a lead wagon.

If he's going to be a runaway then nofear may even have a point with his lolwhogivesa**** attitude but we may as well use the time to do second/third wagon discussions even if they are irrelevant tonight.

If you take BATM out (pretend he's already dead), everyone should be clear on who their other top wagons are.

Do I make sense right now? Someone tell me if not. I seriously can't even tell.

Yes. We have this odd side-bar rapport in games where he's a villager because I actually talk to him sometimes to try and figure out where his head is at. I've noticed nobody else really tries to do that, or he just likes talking to me more, or something. Anyway, I'm getting the same impossible to explain sincerity vibes that I've gotten from him as a villager in the past by talking to him.
