Didnt he have the same sort of claim in Planescape ? Where he was the only claimed power role that was more likely to come from a wolf.

Villagers probably shouldnt claiming en masse. We're all going to narrow down who the village vig is for the wolves to kill them.

if you are a villager bigger and you can fight for your existence, then fight for it.

If WG is bodyguard, I don't see how he doesn't bodyguard Zork since he was a full vig and is obviously the most powerful wolf (minus maybe a godfather), so wolf WG would be dead.
