soah read is all over this thread. mac read comes from him sponging other people saying I'm boring and talking about lynching me. I don't recall him saying stuff like that as a villager ever, and based on our history together I don't expect him to say stuff like that about/to me, so I think that is very likely to be something he would only say as a wolf. I'm kind of moving bhuber up a bit mostly because I think his logic was too weird to come from a wolf after a very wolfy start, but he is still >rand to be one in my book. RG still appears out of place and very forced, but people saying he is an obvious villager makes me doubt that read a lot.

it's not about justification, it's about thought process

I certainly think you could both be wolves, but that's just because I think you both could be wolves...

meh i hate this sort of argumentation but lets look at this if i were a wolf.
lets say mac is villa, now i can either look at his few posts, sponge someone and let my vote on there. i basically dont even need to say anything and decide later what im gonna do.
the other option is for me to put myself in the spotlight and unvote because i dont want to stay on a villa wagon.
even if he is a wolf the unvote option is bad.

my actual thought process was that the mac wagon got some steam and i wasnt happy with lynching him.

anyway I don't think it's useful to argue about whether or not that post is actually wolfy. I think it's wolfy, but I don't think it's very interesting to analyze beyond that right now. Just go find someone you do want to lynch

If there's a wolf in hardcore/soah I'd guess that it's soah. He's successfully lawyering nitpick points on inconsistency or on "this is something you'd do as a wolf," but it feels agenda-driven. Like while any number of things he's pointing out can successfully make hardcore look bad/inconsistent, I don't see them as how soah best looks for wolves. The progression just appears like he found things to poke at and has kept pulling on the thread from there in hopes that the sweater would unravel.

I dunno, I'm seemingly in the minority but I feel decently good about hardcore. I think he's trying to solve the game. The "incoherent text bombs" thing is indeed a wolf tell for him but I haven't found any of what he said to be incoherent.

I'm not loving a lynch of Mac; I'm not sure anything in his vanilla wolf game has changed since the meta was "when Mac slanks and actively attracts votes he's villaging; when he shows an interest in the thread and trying to solve things he's wolfing." His most recent vanilla wolf game in Tintin still shows this pattern to be pretty much on point.

It's annoying to give someone a pass for slanking through d1 but it seems to be pretty reliable at this point until he breaks the pattern.

I think the relevant meta, if mac is a villager, is "mac doesn't do d1"

but I think there's a better way of reading him then the slank index

Derm has a decent number of posts without almost any sign of willingness to get his hands particularly dirty.

agreed on the soah/hardcore thing. hardcore didnt strike me as wolfy at all and upon rereading i had the idea that soah was trying to play on your read of hardcore (ie long texts without much meaning means he is a wolf).
he basically built his case around that without explicitly stating it.
and yes, he didnt technically build his case around it but it did play a role.

Is the he in the second sentence a different he than in the first?

I also think that
(1) When hardcore has been hassled many times in the past about his wolfy word bombs; and
(2) When I directly mention it early in this game,

His likely reaction as a wolf isn't to start dropping more of them and thinking that will get him through. I think it's far more likely that he's just sincerely getting his thoughts out there, and saying **** it if people find him overly wordy in a bad way.

nope, but i was preemtively saying this so i didnt have to do it again when soah replies.

I'm not even word bombing this thing yet

what I feel about derm right now is that he looks more non-commital with his posts than he actually is. memory is short so we forget about a couple of things, but derm started the game going after lkj/RG/leo, and only begin doing what he is doing now (not committing to anything) recently in the game. while I believe that's wolfy, the way he is ignoring the heat on him feels villagery to me. I would like him to be a little more skeptical of soah, commit more to reads and the DB doesn't really help him (he seems to be the kind of player who is a villagery villager and a wolfy wolf cause he almost never survives as a wolf and rarely gets mislynched), but I hate him as the village first choice of lynching when soah has been IMO howling uncontrollably for the entire gameday. derm has a couple of villagery things going for him here and there, so not a big fan of his wagon.
