See this is the first post I read from you Banker and thought to myself "not genuine." Like let's break this down. I defended two people who you are saying shouldn't be lynched last I checked, I then attack someone based not on their activity level (not ever) but on the content of their posts, and you for some reason are popping up in here and being like "I don't know, something is wrong about this" I mean what? I don't understand how you could be thinking this. It seems like... you just kind of want to post something about it. You claim to be scum reading Slendy but you don't do ANYTHING probative in combination to my own read. You don't ask me questions. You don't further discussion. You just ... fear monger how I do things. If you were interested in answers, you'd ask questions.
Worst part of the game for you by far, as far as I am concerned.

Do. Not. Trust.

I'm not actually defending you, I'm pointing out your reasoning. Whether I actually agree or not there is a different matter. I also try to be as objective as possible, so it will not be anything of a commodity to see me even coming up with some counter arguments against my own arguments. That's just how I am.

What.
The explanation you are giving is one of a reckless town who doesn't particularly care about toDay's lynch target. I think my explanation, of an extremely confident scum avoiding responsibility and trying to make his play too weird to assess, is more likely.

Re: The 2015 Mafia Championship: Game 6
The problem with your scenario, font, is what you are saying is obvious. He does not void any responsibility by doing what he is doing, and no one would think he is. I don't see how a member of scum goes 'hehe, I am clever let me not take the fall by... openly giving my vote to someone!" like really? That's not how mafia works. Your vote is always your own, regardless of circumstances you make. You CAN'T avoid responsibility for your vote.

No? You don't think "I was reaction testing, here's what I got out of it:" is a good way to redirect after a mislynch?
Honestly, I don't really care about responsibility in a game, but Cue has indicated that he does.

Re: The 2015 Mafia Championship: Game 6
Sure, someone can say that, but in a good game other players will press him on that and hopefully derive the truth. At the end of the day we have to trust in our abilities and go from there. I trust myself when I town read people like I am town reading cue, he hasn't given me any reason to doubt that yet.
What do you think of Banker's discussion of my methods in regards to Slendy despite a scum read on Slendy?

I'm fine with it, mainly because I have similar concerns. Maybe you could explain the bhuber read in a more convincing way?

(Am I really the only one who has no idea what y'all are talking about?)

Bhuber was a pretty simple matter of I felt he was being genuine as he was reading the game discussing his reads and how he got them.

There's this idea that if you lead a wrong lynch or vote wrong, you'll get blamed for it and possibly lynched. Consequently, scum try to avoid this blame by not committing to a vote. I think it's bull****, at least on this level.

Re: The 2015 Mafia Championship: Game 6
Sadly not all instances of town clearing are going to involve evidence that two people look upon and view it the same way, or we wouldn't be playing mafia.
Still think you're town though.

On the flipside, I consider pointing fingers after a lynch, especially if one joined that very lynch, to be one of the highest scumtells around.

Work is being a pain in the ass housekeeping/maintenance overbooked so I will be trying to fix other people's ****ups for a bit. This is not ideal.
Achromatic I realize I'm calling you weird and scummy and **** but whatever what do you think of dorian?
Doc getting no conversation is interesting as well.
If anyone wants to lynch someone on my list I would need to be severally convinced. I'm going to try to get everything done in the next 30 minutes so I can be back to really focus for the last hour.

I am between Slendy and Smartbomb to be honest.
Thank you Bhuber for coming on and talking it out with us! You and I have similar schedule problems I feel. Except you are doing good work and I am doing data processing and spreadsheet analysis.

****. Damn data...
(this keeps pulling me in)
How about this - I WILL be on in 30 or so to explain why Slendy and Smartbomb are on my radar. I will be on EOD because I saw what it almost did in the last game I played in (tricksy Alpha....almost had it but he didn't)/

I haven't had him on my radar until his big post on smartbomb, which I liked a lot. It came off convicted. I thought it was quite a townie post.

Re: The 2015 Mafia Championship: Game 6
I'm considering switching to Slendy. The sole reason for that being that I think he makes a good day 1 lynch, due to his activity and his play. I want to see MSU's reasoning before committing there though.

Jeez, how did I not notice this earlier? We've got three strong town (Banks, Riki, Smartbomb) and a lean town (RatchetOPB) on one lynch. I'm going to pick between bhuber and MSU.
|
i think this kind of analysis is something that works like a lot better for video mafia than it does for forum mafia because the way voting on forum mafia and the way wagons happen is pretty different

fwiw this is sounds something like what my impression of slendy's scum play was when i played with scum!slendy once a few months ago
it was like, asking questions for the sake of asking them, something else tone related that i can't remember atm
