I didn't agree with all the stuff cue said to get the scum read but I did agree that road was scummy for the post imo.

To be fair to the last post dailymafia tends to no lynch day 1 sometimes but its rarely on purpose.

Fun Question: Do you think finding scum on day 1 is difficult?
I think finding town is relatively easy Day 1. Scum is hit or miss. I like missing, sometimes on purpose.

what do you want to do/trying to do with this day 1?

@riki thanks for finding that kinda explains a bit of the softness but I'm still not a huge fan. I think hes posting like easy scum I'm going to check out his filter later tonight.

We've got :
1. A bad argument against Road.
2. A nothing read on Dorian.
3. A joke about his scumplay.
4. A complete misunderstanding or misrepresentation of what Dorian wrote (he said the natural thing would be to townread someone townreading him, but that he wasn't.)

Riki: I'm basically only with Banks on townreading you and Achro (and even that's just an dissociative read).
4. Or I was going off of memory, as I so often do. My mind plays tricks on me, but sometimes those tricks let me see the actual thing being said behind carefully selected words.

i got distracted by irl but i finished skimming game 2 and msu's posts

didn't really get much out of it other than that he posted in a similar like, kind of roleplaying style in that game as well so he'll just be a nightmare for me to read probably

pretty much the spruce of this game

otherwise i agree he is a bit softer in this game compared to that game, but that might be attributed to him being less active and also to the general player level being higher itg (for example one of the things he tried to push on early in that game was something to do with making a fluff post about bolding people's names)

he does makes pretty decent points starting day 2 especially, so that's something to look out for i guess

also, he did a similar thing where he would enter the thread at kind of random intervals but reply to stuff that happened recently, so the previous observation i made probably doesn't work

My problem, and it's one I'm seeing in certain people, is that I feel being completely open is detrimental, especially when aiming for a specific goal. Half the people this game are incredibly open and that confuses me slightly as its day one. It's like they want to be seen as town and that's weird to me.

Do you feel that wolves would use this tactic? Do you think that wanting to be read town is bad? Did you read my post with all the stars and blue ****. Basically if the town is super obvious the game is harder for wolves.

here are thoughts on players:

Achromatic
i have liked some of the thoughts that he has made, like they are deeper than surface level observations which is usually a good sign, although like he says he'd probably be good enough to make them as mafia too. after quickly rereading his iso i realized that i haven't actually liked the players that he's made these observations towards as much as i thought i did, like he's made posts towards smartbomb (who i have a town lean on), me (well yeah), and doc (meh, i could see this one). i actually agreed with his initial cue townread when he made it although it seems stronger for him than it was for me. i got a bit of a townread from his posts where he talked about wanting to not be universally townread and stuff, but that's pretty thin. basically in my head i had a pretty strong townread of him but after briefly rereading it's gotten weaker. still a townread though

I do feel that, but I also know that mafia knows I'm town. That makes my twerpish actions a lot harder for them to place. If you were mafia, how would you react to me this game knowing I'm town? And if you don't believe I'm town, then just pretend and react to me. Would you still say I was obvious town or would you try to lie about your read on me, a player that's confusing others?

I think I know what your answer would be, and it's why I don't trust you as much as the others seem to do.

i've said earlier that i thought many of the questions he was asking seemed pointless, like they were asked for the sake of making it seem like he was doing something. still not really sure what most of his opinions are although his post above might explain why he isn't making some of his opinions known. didn't really understand his progression on ratchet and why he called him possible scum. also didn't particularly like the stretch of loaded questions he was asking achro/ratchet although that's thinner. i can get why someone might be hesitant to call him mafia based on like how boldly he's posting and stuff but i don't think that's a good enough reason

i kind of defended him early on because i thought a lot of people were jumping on something i found null

he hasn't really done anything since which isn't great. he checked back into the thread recently so hopefully he starts posting soon, maybe before i go to sleep preferably

If I was a wolf and you were town my read would depends solely on how i thought i could use you. If I thought that I could pocket you then a town read would be in order. If I thought you had misslynch possibilities I'd probably scum read you. If I wasn't sure I'd leave you in null town unless I felt it would be odd for me to do so.

With a player like yourself reading you and of those 3 ways is viable imo. I think you're getting all those reads here so blending in would be easy.

I don't think that you're the type of player that would be pocketed easily so I probably wouldn't bother with the first route of town read unless I wanted to try to play like the guy whose taking the high road against you in which cause I'd town read despite your pressure on me and your claiming mafia to seem like a boss.

Hope that answers your question. I still think that for the most part wolves rando town reading people is a thing that I'm on the lookout for. I haven't seen much of that yet except in MSU's case imo.

What if I said this was my town meta? You seem to take everyone else's self-meta at face value, so would that change your opinion of me?
