ok so, could definitely just get there with just split and split, but im gonna say...

sunny in philadelphia (nfi) - no real 'star' so remove
community (that guy) - same
himym (i guess lead is short boring guy) - techinically has kids, and arguably isnt the star
my name is earl (earl) - is actually over 40 oops

less likely removals:

entourage (vinnie chase adrien grenier or something) - not really a comedy
big bang theory (dont know lead) - no real star
