hmmm how should we divvy up the rest of the sports?

race where multiple people compete at the same time? score based where people take turns? heads up 1v1?

i'd ask if he's 6' or taller. would give you a hint as to his sport.

I think the "not a team sport" eliminate all these sports since there's also some team competition in those.

Steven Lopez (2000 and 2004 Taekwondo, Gold x2, USA) (not a q)

most likely...no other gold medalists from Judo or TKD assuming it is martial arts
no gold weightlifters from CAN/USA

I don't mind it either, but I definitely know what you mean enty. I played this all day on friday with friends because we were waiting in line for rides at six flags and the questions were way faster, but that's because you'll pick something more obvious that you know for sure doesn't require any research or discussion. Most of these in POG are extremely challenging, even with research.

does the sport involve heads-up/1v1 competition? (as opposed to a competition that usually has heats/rounds which eliminate multiple people at a time)

I think gold is more helpful at this point -- not a lot of USA gold winners in that sport list.
