7. all the lead vocalists are not white males (that question was perhaps not worded great. I'll clarify with "none" of the lead vocalists are males)

Just to be clear, none of the lead vocalists are males and the song was recorded between 1970 and 1985.... this is correct?

Yes and Yes. The wording of question 7 was tough as it left the door open for there still to be a male vocalist with the use of "all," or they could all be males, but white, or a non-white with a white male...or a man with a female....etc... I am just going to say there are no male lead vocalists.

I found it easily by Googling your question, but I don't understand the relevance to this thread.

I would think more than half the songs out there are love songs in some way. I'll answer if you really want to ask it, but I am not sure how helpful it will be when you still have a 7 year period of 1000s of songs that you need to get to a smaller range/number.

Let me know if you still want to ask it.

I would support a renege for asking about something with no clear definition.

I'm all for a renege. Here's a replacement question.

Was this song ever on the billboard weekly top 40?

Will take 3 questions to get us the year, laving 7 questions for the band.

Maybe ask if the band had a number 1 hit with another song? If no then give up.

Or ask about number of band members at the time of the song in question and hope it's six or more.

Or about the number of letters in the band name.

What do we know so far...

They're American. Presumably this means that either all of the members are American or it means the band was formed in the USA.

The lead singer/singers are all female. Could it be an all-girl/mostly-girl band? Could it be a band with a female lead singer? Could it be a song with no lyrics whatsoever?

The band isn't in the HOF and the song wasn't in the Top 40. Did the band have any hit songs? It's difficult to believe that AK would have chosen an unknown song by an unknown band. That's outside the spirit of this game.
