Dirac, Penrose, Hawking, Higgs are probably the best known British physicists.

Depends on how "from the UK" is interpreted.

Mott, Powell, Ryle, Kibble, Randall, Mansfield, Gray, Sciama, Seaton are other physicists who fit so far. On the other hand, who is familiar with them? Not this guy with a degree in physics.

I started to think about the ambiguity of the question of being from somewhere and couldn’t really decide what it means. Let’s say for the purpose of this game it means being born in UK, since that’s the easiest to check.

Probably just splitting these 9 into a group of 5 and 4 and then narrow it down to a name.

If we get into the did he invent something, or did he discover something or anything else we are just bleeding questions...

Do all of these fit these parameters?

- Born in the UK
- Born 1900 or later
- No longer alive
- Never received a Nobel Prize

I'll do the research, but if someone already knows that these names all fit, I won't bother.

Not sure about Nobel statuses, everything else should be good.

Edit: Dirac's out.
