Should we narrow down the type of science?

Could be math, computer science, economics, social science....

Math, computer stuff, psychology, social sciences. Engineering might be a grey area. I'm actually leaning toward math/computing.

Medicine (aka human biology) and Astronomy (aka AstroPhysics) aren't physical sciences?

I'm struggling to find any female German scientists of that age, regardless of their specific discipline.

I looked through a Wiki Categories list of 76 female German scientists and none matched the age.

Colour me stumped

Mod help: I am certain that categorizing the thing that the person is most famous for is "science". I'd encourage you to expand your mind in that regard

I'm not going for a particularly obscure person.

could help to narrow down the field further. Maybe ask if the science is philosophy/history/theology?

not a q yet

we could always eliminate that field with "is it a social science"

alternatively we could go on another approach, i don't have one though

I think it's definitely a social science of some sort.

From that wiki page they list: anthropology, archaeology, communication studies, economics, history, human geography, jurisprudence, linguistics, political science, psychology, public health, and sociology.

Of those, I'm taking immediate issue with history and jurisprudence. Public health is probably out as being too close to either biology or math.

I'd say most likely candidate for our German girl are economics, anthropology, sociology, psychology.

Philosophy and Theology are definitely not social sciences.

in germany they are grouped in another way, so that would be my pov.

We could ask if she was a scentist/researcher.

Maybe she was a famous patient of Freud.

I agree that it's 99.9% her, but as an aside what would you guys answer to #3?

I asked "North American?"

She has North American citizenship, but I got back the question altered to say "Not born in North America"
