Is this 19 questions and a guess or 20 questions and a guess?

That's what I was thinking, with the inclusion of Craigslist. There are a few others that are more pop-leaning (e.g. Perform This Way). eBay also leans toward pop.

I actually think those are the only 3 songs that fit the criteria for Weird Al

How are you narrowing it down to those few songs? Weird Al has several other songs released 2002-2008 with their own wiki pages.

According to wikipedia, Weird Al has four albums released from 2002 to 2015. Each of these links to only a few songs. Take out the less rockish ones, and you are left with the ones spurs gave.

Considering how broadly the question was worded, I don't think you could eliminate the songs that are comedy pop or hip-hop.

"Considered to be a form of rock? (In the most general sense: everything from folk to metal would be a yes here)"

Hip hop is not a form of rock no matter how you phrase it

Hip-hop is closer to rock than folk is, and the question said to consider folk a form of rock. Most early hip-hop was based on samples of rock recordings. Folk music pre-dates rock by hundreds of years. Also I believe Weird Al uses his same "rock" band for all his recordings; he certainly does when he plays live.

I was thinking when I read that question it was pretty pointless as it probably excluded none of the songs likely to have been chosen for this game.

must admit I did enjoy the hunt for what the **** Grammy might have been won, and then going into the Latin Roots stuff

Well that narrows it down to 4 songs; 2 of those are listed as R&B / hip-hop, 2 as rock.

Interesting list...I gues MJ would be the only one to have a top 40 hit in each of last 5 decades. Weird Al is probably the most likely to catch up though!
