Btw, I'm using the mobile twoplustwo app. It's not bad for when you're afk or your work blocks the site.
Can you expand on this? Your implying his bio was a factor in your read?

I think Yamato town so far. He's interacting with the game way more than I'd expect him to at this stage if he were Mafia. Yamato kinda lurky as scum in general.

Can you explain why it's worrisome?

As I've said, I didn't really expect the wall of text opening from well named, but I think the content and tone of it is villagery.

What about it concerns you?

I'm wondering why he didn't claim wolf right out of the gate. That's his kind of fun.

Also BLFG I disagree about STS. I am familiar with the argument that would say it's wolfy to propose no lynch, but the way he does it flows and feels more like a genuine villagery reaction to reading through the rules than a calculated wolf ploy. Especially the post about being sad. I think using "no lynch" on d1 would be a terrible strategy and anti-village, but I don't think the way he talked about it was wolfy at all.
I'm curious as to why you even said it then. Surely that is a claim that literally every single player is silently making in their heads, town or no.

My input on the last few pages:
In my experience, seasoned players don't go out of their way to try and prove they're one alignment or another unless prompted. That naturally puts a few people on my suspicious list right out of the gate.

Also, you've convinced me on the day 1 lynch strategy. In the past the threat of impending lynch has gotten a few people to act out of character now that I think about it, so I'm all for it.
Who is on your list? I would like to know.

chris: I think you coming at me like you are is villagery but the premise that I would open this game the way I would a normal POG game is just wrong.

Claiming villager on this site is pretty much a token opening and just means you're declaring yourself aligned with the village. It's not the same as claiming vanilla villager with no powers.
Hmm, ok. Maybe this is a culture thing then. Thanks.

I am willing to change my game based on circumstances, we're all very good players but that also means that we'll be good at lying. I've found in my community that a no lynch is also often met with resistance, but it gets people talking about the dynamics of the game that are hidden, while the roles and possibilities in this game are revealed and open

I hope you can forgive me discussing the difference in our communities(not purely for filler) because I think it would be interesting and useful knowing the different cultures, especially since some sites have more than 1 player representing them and they are familiar with their tricks and strategies.

Crabby and I like to keep roles hidden for as long as possible to be useful. Scum hunting is the best, but town does not always agree on scummy behavior and results speak louder than behaviour
My initial thoughts? I don't see evil coming out and even suggesting the topic for discussion. Could be the whole "let's put out feelers to see if this flies" kindof thing, but I dunno... seems pretty unlikely opening play for evil so I have STS on my tentative snug-list.

I think doing that in this game in either role would be colossally bad.

I really have no idea how that post is townie?
What's townie in saying "we are not no-lynching D1" in 100 words?

We had an out of gate standard "I'm a villager" opening for years. We don't do it anymore. So it surprised Tommy. Kids, these days.

I thought VE sounded villagery too with his immediate response to WN, but I'm trying to rectify that with yamato's background info. Normally I'm more inclined to judge what I see rather than from other sources, but I think it's valid to use.

The player who voted STS out of the gates (BG something) sounded the worst for me thus far, but something about it is a too easy read.

Admittedly, I don't have much else at this point except observing and enjoying banter.

Well named and visceraeyes primarily, but also darthe for a few things that aren't very concrete, like how quickly he agreed with the first serious accusation.

The no lynch guys who have still not contributed anything (you know i got my vote on one of them) STS & Maki.

Well known - for wrting a lot but saying nothing.

Chips - for his really bad vote.

Nothing else stands out much, aside from Vagos' interesting comment about that Well known's post.
