Question to the people who are currently active but not voting: Why not?

I understand that making random meta probing early votes is not everybody's normal state of things, but I think this is an interesting question.

No, it's not. It's correct. That's not the point of my argument.

The point of the argument is that proposing a no-lynch should never be done in the first place. At worst (if people agree -- even if no-lynch was the correct play for town) you get people into voting for no lynch and it gives mafia a free pass into not contributing anything because they know town will be no lynching anyways. They are safe.

I don't want mafia to be/feel safe. I want to confront people about their arguments that make no sense to me. It's not the matter of if no lynch is right or wrong, it's the motivation behind the suggestion. I do not see town motivation behind your suggestion. Unless there is something you havn't said about your motives behind it. You should speak if there is some.

A combination of I thought we had a lot more time, and I'm used to only voting once several people have come to a consensus.

Personally its an attempt to not be jumpy with such a lauded group. I am being careful where I normally I would be brazen because here is an opportunity to really shine. The vote will come when a player deserves it.

Also, thought that was 4 days...

It's just my normal habit. I like to vote many places during the day but I often don't usually vote early. I don't know why I'm like that.

You're difficult to make sense of. You're working yourself into a logical tizzy and it's hard to follow your reasoning with what feels like a lot of logical double negatives. I'm inclined to believe you wouldn't be this... I don't mean to cause offense, but lost seems like the right word, as scum. So relax for a bit and come back with a clear head. We've got time.

While it is noble to want mafia to not feel safe, I've seen the other side of the coin and leading a lynch on you only to have you reveal that you are a villager narrows down the list for the werewolves to hit the doc and cop.

I understand we are wasting time on this, I get what you are trying to achieve and say. I was already willing to lynch on the first day as I am now part of a new group and it seems as if people are committed to finding scum on the first day.

I've mentioned it's a different environment for me, discussing the no lynch issue any further is not going to benefit us as I may not even go in that direction and I am depriving us of real scum hunting

I like yamato's aggressiveness and eagerness to get something done. Although he seems to have a boring personality he does seem genuine.

Well named's posts were long, but I could understand the purpose of them. When so many of us are unfamiliar with one another, and I assume a lot of you use metas to help you hunt on your respective sites seeing as youre more familiar with everyone's playstyles, it comes in handy knowing what a person's thought process is. And like he said, it will help avoid a lot of little misunderstandings that can turn into huge arguments or just simply bad reads.


Murph is helpful. Idk, GUT FEELING. Do you guys have those? I guess I could always make up a believable reason as to why I think he's town, but lying in a game of people unfamiliar with how you play probably isn't the best idea.



sts_za, why do you think there hasn't been enough content to find scum? Day 1s on my site usually have around 400-1000 posts in them and within the first 200 posts people start getting a little more serious with their accusations and reads. It isn't hard to read people with this much content already in the game, especially with some posters having quite a few posts already.

To say we should just not try to get a lynch done because it might not be based on the best or most analytic reasoning would kind of seem like a huge waste to me. What else should we do on day 1? Twiddle our thumbs? No thanks.

That being said, I don't think you would push this option so much if you were non-town as it probably won't be the most well-received idea by other town players and could make you look scummy so I have a slight town read on you. The only reason it is a slight town read is because this could be how you usually play as scum/werewolf, but of course that's where knowing other people's metas helps a lot.

You're all shining lights of glorious talent and ability in my eyes. Just play the way you want. Play the song in your heart.

I like being a town read with Tomato. We're sort of a ying and yang thing.

oh and come the **** on guys. If you're here, you're supposed to be good. So yes, we do have helpful roles like cop and other things that could help us catch scum, but we should not have to depend on them in any way nor should we have to wait for results to get a lynch done.

That being said I don't really have a scum read right now. MEH
