Got semi-caught up on my phone walking into work

binkles voting me was surprising (because he usually reads me correctly) so it would feel good (and a little lazy) to call him a wolf, but I'm not prepared to do that yet. d1 is d1 and thin reads are thin reads; his tone also feels different this game, but that could be an artifact of him being the lost wolf that game. I've never done it, but I'd imagine you'd want to soften your reads in general early on, because it would kind of suck to hard read half your team as a wolf early in the thread and then have to figure out reasons to flip once/if you get found

it feels just as lazy to call zdye a villager for defending me, but that's what I'm going to do.

tweedy feels villagery too for reasons I already explained

people voting dwetzel for changing his entrance when he said he was going to in the signup thread either have poor memories or an agenda

going to try to get caught up in the next half hour or so

Monte went deep in a vanilla+ recently. His d1 was tons of fluff and then one post that we were all convinced was super villagery. He was the last wolf standing in the game.

He went straight into game-solving and skipped the fluff this time. It's a bit more like what he did in the last game where I wrongly shot him; he was a villager.

So just from that I lean villager on him at least a bit.

I've wired to wired twice as a wolf leading the post count (rickman and hoodwinked) and I got to f4 in brazil playing not very well

not much I can do to counter a tone read of monte=wolf at this stage, except point out people had the exact same read in MLP early on and I cleared myself relatively quickly

also, in case it's not totally obvious: TN villagery

LKJ hesitantly calling me a villager is the reaction I'd expect after he incorrectly vigged me in Buffy

SS usually screams villager early on in my limited experience

SS makes me think about conversions, since Buffy just happened (warning: extreme tinfoil theory):

if both David Stern and teams like the Supersonics are in the game, there could be some kind of conversion mechanic whereby Stern has to peek certain teams that then flip from villager to wolf when he "moves" them

probably ******ed but it just occurred to me

I generally heart vmf so I'm probably more inclined to want to clear him early/lightly; the fact that he fake peeked me villager and defended me against bankles (albeit somewhat clumsily) is probably hard for me to completely separate from my read

Also I don't buy your premise that two people reading the same event differently means one is a wolf, and I can't believe you'd even make that assertion. Neither of us has perfect information and we both bring our own past and prejudices with us each game, it's perfectly reasonable to come to different conclusions and it's pretty wolfy of you to suggest otherwise

I interpreted it as hating binkles' arrogance, which over time seems to have morphed from tongue firmly in cheek to tongue not so firmly in cheek while he not-so-secretly believes it

I think it likelier that villaVMF would do a very noticeable thing early on (like draw heat to himself by going after a high profile POGger); wolfVMF is much more likely to do currently subtle but later hilarious things like mason with a wolfbro d1 or leave his entire wolf team as wolves when he's about to get correctly lynched.

you must be joking. thats why people poast reads. so other people can see where they stand and see if it jives with how they feel.
if I look at the sky and say it's blue. then two other people look at the sky and one says it's blue and one says it's red, I assume the person who said red is making **** up.
