That question was my worst nightmare.

I thought plankton was too obvious to be correct and wasn't sure what a Protozoa was but assumed it moved more than algae and that other one

I had plankton in the reply box, at the last moment I decided it didn't "sound Greek enough"

thing is plankton isn't the correct answer phytoplankton is.
and phytoplankton sounds super ****ing Greek so had he included the actual answer pretty sure everyone gets it right.

so was he intentionally trying to trick ppl?
when I Google it after, the quiz popped up where I'm sure he took the question from and it read:

"what MAINLY microscopic...." and the answer was phytoplankton so why did he change the question so majorly?

I had no clue what the right answer was so what I did was eliminate all the options that ARENT microscopic.

plankton isn't microscopic and I was sure of that.
there are sub groups or whatever u call it like phytoplankton it turns out which are but plankton is most def not microscopic.

the question said which microscopic..... so if u don't know the answer u should be able to eliminate responses which aren't microscopic such as fungi and algea which both can be seen with the naked eye.

protozoa is the only one of those which to my knowledge exists only as a microscopic organism (if I'm wrong about that disregard my objection).

I think at the very least the question is worded so poorly it should have been voided cuz in actuality plankton isn't even the correct answer.

did u know jellyfish are plankton?

I think it's pretty ridic that I correctly used the process of elimination to get to a response that fit the main criteria of the question namely I choose the only truly microscopic organism.

the reason I said I felt it would be easy to tell who cheated was because if u didn't know the answer the only logical guess is protozoa as that is the only microscopic answer listed and I feel like most ppl know that u can see many forms of plankton with the naked eye.

It was an incredibly easy question (yes this if ofc relative blah blah blah) because of how easy the eliminations were.

You already touched on why algae and fungi were easy eliminations. Proto- is imo a well known Greek word. Even if you don't exactly know what it means you've definitely heard words like prototype or protocol and can deduce that that they nothing to do with wandering.

So the most difficult part of the question is deciphering what is more likely to mean wandering. ZOA or plankton, which, if you know what a plankton is, seems like the most logical guess.

So you crying wolf is pretty hilarious given how simple it was to POE the answer with what I assume most people would consider basic knowledge.

Also, phyto means plant so I'm not sure at all sure why you think your argument holds any water

ya ur way is def smarter and had I gone that route I prolly could have eliminated protozoa but I focused on the microscopic part of the question and just zoned in on eliminating all the answers that weren't microscopic and was left with only one possible response.

please post a screenshot of how anyone could google this question and get it wrong.

after I submitted I went to look up the answer and sometimes it's too much work so I just sweat the reveal however in this case when u google the question the correct answer is plastered all over the results page.

it's literally impossible to google this question and come up with protozoa so either put some $$$ up or stfu.

I didn't ignore it. I just think your contention that lack of "mostly" in front of "microscopic" in any way breaks the question is wrong.

however included it as a strange omission and it certainly seems as though stuck changed the answer to make it more difficult.

had he included phytoplankton instead of just plankton everyone gets it right.

if he thinks a question is too easy for round 3 than don't use it for round 3.
changing it to try n trick ppl is dumb imo.

but certainly if the question says "mainly microscopic" instead of just "what microscopic" I wouldn't have thought I could just eliminate all non microscopic responses.

what's hilarious is had I cheated no one would've suspected anything but because I didn't cheat but am making a fuss cuz I think it was a bogus/trick question ppl are all like "yup def cheated"
