Q1 was not ambiguous, but I could see where people could be thrown by the wording. Think it would be better to change A to "1 head and then 1 tail" to remove all potential ambiguity.

This makes it sound like sequential tosses of a single coin, rather than two coins being tossed simultaneously. "1 head then 1 tail" is different from "1 head and 1 tail" and neither is ambiguous.

True, but it makes no difference whether it’s one fair coin being tossed sequentially or two fair coins tossed simultaneously. I dunno, I guess anyone who was confused by the question as worded and answered “equally likely” should get it wrong.

What I was getting at was that there would be a suggestion that the order mattered, with a sequential toss, that isn't there with a simultaneous toss. HH, HT, TH, TT being all equally likely, and that business.

Of course, I agree with your concluding statement.
