Is it possible to beat the rake at HU NL .25/.50? Is it possible to beat the rake at HU NL .25/.50?

Hey,

I am just curious if there are any winning players at .25/.50 at PokerStars?

Was trying to play it, but my deep game sucks. So have to study some and get back to it.

Or are there any other sites where the HU CGs are running?

Thank you for the answers.

Are you waiting for me in the lobbies?

Anyways, what winrate should I aim for? And what are the other good sites where HU CG is running?

HU SnG is slowly, but surely dying, so I am switching to another game type pretty soon.

HU CG is not very alive either, but whatever, I gotta make the transition to cash somehow.

Hu cash is pretty much dead also...stars and ipoker ...acr have zoom hu also but have fun battling regs all day.

Think the best winners have only like 5 to 10bb/100 in the zoom pools

Time to play against 5 players instead of 1 I guess then

Thank you for the insight.

The rake depends on how many flops you are seeing, but let's go with a number of 20bb/100 rake per player. That's 40bb/100 for the both of you. Subtract any rakeback, probably none on Stars.

Now if your opponent loses to you at (40+n) bb/100, you are winning n bb/100 against him post-rake.

I say you better focus on another format even more so as your playing low stakes if your plan is to move up.

if your open to it I think you be way better off to try play MTTs than cash games the players are a lot worse.
Rule of thumb is that MTT players online are about 3-4 years behind cash players. So you can play vs 2016 level cash game players in mtts or 2020 level cash game players.

if you decide on cash I would play the zoom as you will learn most fast, when you play lowstakes its all about learning as fast as you can and not so much about playing max ev.
Max ev thinking only makes sense when you moved up to higher stakes.
