Hello XXXXX,

It has come to our attention that you have recently been coached by another player on Full Tilt Poker.

While we encourage improvement and growth as a player, we also support the rule of "one player to a hand". It is one thing to go over hands in retrospect and discuss theory and ways to improve, however, we find it unethical and unfair for a player to be instructing and making decisions for another player in real time. Essentially, from an opponents perspective, this would be like playing against a player disguised as another.

I hope you understand our position regarding this matter. Please know that any further instances of this or similar nature may lead to the suspension or closure of your account.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.

Regards,

i personally have a gigantic problem with sweat sessions where the coach makes all the decisions on the students' accounts. there is obviously nothing i can do about it, but if the idea is to have a session where the coach talks to the student about their play, then they don't even need to do it in real time. however if they did it in real time, they could refrain from actually giving advice mid hand. if the idea is to listen and learn from how the coach would have played, it is possible (though not as easy) for anyone to get a game at any stakes. so the coach should just play on their own account. i'm against anything that allows for one person making decisions on another person's account, and anything that allows for any deception about who is playing on any account. in large part the reason for my disapproval of such practices is that they are not avenues open to all players. if they were, i wouldn't have as big of a problem (as well, if they weren't (lol) against the rules. (and yes, i know the one player to a hand rule is both unenforceable and not even a rule on some sites.)

that said, while i don't agree with what DiH and cftw did, i do feel like jeff is being a bit of a dick/moron.

That report just took this thread completely over the top.

And that link is basically the best thing ever.

I misspoke. Internet Pokers didn't play every hand obviously. He just discussed theory with me. The only reason I phrased it the way I did was because jeffmet3 was acting like I was making terrible mistakes when IP agreed with most my moves and just made tweaks here and there and discussed his theory behind it. Having a coach just play for you doesn't make you better; it's him sweating. I played the hands, but he saw no fault in how I played in most spots and in spots he did, he told me about how to change it.

The only reason I phrased it the way I did was because Jeffmet came on as a belligerent jackass and then evolved into a walking vagina.

I think it would be a good idea if someone made a software where you type a person's nickname and get a .jpg where his nickname is written. You can then make any post, and no one can google their nickname and find this thread.

All you have to do is to type Villain =[img] blabla

I don't know, I guess it will be better for everyone. I think this kind of software might be even free, just match letters with jpegs and combine. I could do that I guess.

Gud point, or people could actually use abit of common sense and block out 1 or 2 letters of villan's alias. You just need to look at SSNL/MSNL regs thread to see how many ppl join just because they "googled" their username and found threads where 2+2ers where shouting about there leaks or badmouthing them in general.
