What stakes on PS do you guys think weren't affected by the rake increase in terms of beatability? Everything above 5/10?

How is the action at 100nl+ on ignition? 50nl I have no problem getting action quickly but rake is gross

1k+ actually took a pretty big hit with rb completely removed from those stakes. From what I've seen, the smallest percentage increase in rake was at nl50 (10,5bb/100 to 11,5bb/100 I think, can depend on playstyle), and largest was at nl200, with rake almost doubling.

^^You are right, it depends on style a lot. Nits are not affected much. Me playing maniacally - I've paid like twice more in rake after rake increase. To be exact - $3,700 over 40k hands @NL50. I've managed to make it to Supernova solely on HU thanks to rake increase, while I've never been Supernova before.

So is 50nl still very beatable then?

yes its beatable.

decent amount of weak regs, some good regs like the homey PD but who punt of 40bb's ******edly once every 100 hands or so . very few fish and very few solid regs.

SO if you think you can beat a lineup like that then jump in, but yea there are guys beating it for like 5 - 10bb.

My results...I played 10k hands there since March 1st. Beat it @ 0.5bb/100 (ev 7bb/100)
I got slightly +redline, STD deviation is higher than my normal bumhunting. and the 2 table cap sucks huge balls. The sample size is kinda meaningless but my "feel" is that yea i can beat the rake, i saw too many regs spazzing out and too many regfish just let me exploit them.

For me, i prefer not to play it, I have to think too much and remember too many villains, versus not think at all and take some fish for 20bb/100 at 200nl or 400nl.

EDIT: Also to add, i don't really have my poker game built around battling regs, for the most part I bumhunt, all the poker study I have done has been around pwning noobs. but I can kinda think about poker and make some adjustments to regs but im not great at this, but my point is that If you do the study around exploiting regs then yea i think this 50z game is crushable...like if you are fulltime pro so 10hours grind a day/every day you could make like $5kUSD/month with RB imo.

very few fish
only if by "fish" you mean "complete drooler", by any other definition of the term usually 70%+ of the field is fish

^^That's not true. Most of the time and days it is mostly regs, around 60-80% of them. besides that they two-tabling, while recs just one-tabling.

New rakeback cut news from PS lol:

Stars is just unreal.

meh, I'm guessing that this depends on definition of "reg", if you simply mean someone that plays regularly then sure, other than I disagree, also disagree on "most 2-tablers are regs".

agreed on daytime though, 8-14 euro time pools can indeed be a bit saturated with regs (interestingly, the opposite is true for nl100)

i mean, if your winrate is just 6bb/100 and the games are 70% fish then you should prob work a bit on ur game.

but ok, jk's jk's. Yea my def of fish is typically drooler, those 70% of ppl ur talking fit in the weak reg category to me.

Four table cap made the game frequently unbeatable. It was really awful towards the end of 2015.

amount of tables arent equal to level of fishyness, my brother likes to 3 or 4 table 6max. He is a complete 14/8 weak postflop nit. I mean he doesnt have a clue about ranges nor do he try to soulread ppl either, he just bet if he haves a hand and fold the rest.

he very much lives by the "no set no bet"-rule. He did manage to make money out of poker though for a few years lol. Someone 2-tabling hu zoom wouldnt be deciding factor although its alarming for sure. Onetabling probably suffices for any rec. But action-recs prolly wants a second table.

Some heads up regs I would talk poker with on skype got fed up moved over to 6 max holdem and plo. Poker sites are slowly getting rid of heads up nlh tables and its just not the same as before. I have a feeling in a few more years we could see all heads up tables completely gone.

It all started with Merge doing it then it, then wpn cut back tables, intertops got rid of all heads up to 50nl, now poker stars is jacking up the rake and the other sites made the players anonymous so we can't get stats on them even though we payed good money for huds. Its getting irritating...
