What's your win rate and what stakes would you be coaching? I'm going to get serious in Dec and would likely be starting at 1/2.

It took you a whole 40 minutes to find it and reply, at 3AM. Seems like it wasn't that much of a longshot you would see it.

a lot of people play well but can't teach for ****.

i would start around ~150-200/hr until you have some students that can vouch for your abilities.

what is more advantageous for HU players, the stars VIP program with Supernova or FTP's 27% RB?

I definitely agree with this sentiment. I'm not really coaching for money per se but because I think it would be something I enjoy.

As for winrate, I'm a ~18bb/100 winner at 3/6+ over 200k hands and currently play 25/50 and am on a 33bb/100 heater over 5k hands atm.

For HUCASH, rakeback is better, and it's not even close. Cash players get screwed pretty hard on point generation.

For HUSNGs, if you can do enough volume to make supernova, stars is almost certainly better.

and yes, for HUCash, RB>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> stars stupid point system
For high stakes SNG's in high volume, stars point system >> rakeback

I totally agree. Coaching is a skill that needs work, so start for a fraction of your hourly, if not free... see how you like it, see what you can learn, and work your way up.

I traded HU coaching for coaching coaching, and am pretty happy about it.

Hey does anybody want to do a prop bet for next month to see who can make the most $$? We can all pool in 2-3k each for fun or just bet against each other. it'll be motivation for all of us to play some during our breaks.

On the coaching front, my only suggestion for any would-be coaches is to follow up with your students. I hired a coach for a session with the intention of doing future sessions. I enjoyed it, but never heard back from the coach and didn't feel like he was particularly interested in my progress, so I never moved forward on any other sessions.

yea maybe i didnt take that as an offense. maybe i took your repeating it for 3 minutes straight, leaving after you take 1k off of me, then coming back and doing the same **** over and over until you finally decide to post as offensive. no that couldnt be it...

i don't think he is very good, but I could be wrong. I 3-tabled him for an hour but as you know, variance plays a big role in those small sample sizes.
