That's bad for action in general because with the number of regs on FTP no fish will ever get a game. All the regs will just be forced into playing each other for the tables and that will be that.

Capping the number of empty tables you are allowed to sit at is a much much better option.

But there are tons and tons of FTP regs who are very similar in skill level at each given limit. If i've got a 1ptBB or 2ptBB edge on someone, do you have any idea how long that's going to take to be realised? If there's 25 tables at each limit, they're going to be filled with almost identically skilled regs battling it out for minute edges and no tables for any fish to sit. So everyone loses.

yeah so you'll have to get better to get a bigger edge. I agree it's going to be tougher for everyone though.

That's not really the right response? You're saying this suggestion is going to make it tougher and that we should do that, when a cap on the number of empties someone can be on achieves a very similar end without that factor?

Your suggestion almost completely shuts out most of the massive fish that sustain the HU economy, at least on FTP. That's not a good thing, no matter how you spin it...

lol...that was a worst case scenario. you are misunderstanding. Its under the assumption that it will be much easier for FTP to cap the number of tables than the number of open tables (im pretty sure they used to cap the 50nl HU games, someone correct me if im wrong).

ftp's track record with adding features is horrendous...I don't feel like waiting 8 months for this happen. If we are bitching now they are going to solve it soonish and not 8 month from now.

Well dude, there is already a cap on the number of tables on FTP, but it's really quite high.

If they reduce it significantly I don't think it's going to help the games at all. All that is going to happen is, you're going to have Mebster sitting on 10 tables at once refusing to play anyone, everyone will table block all the people like him and no games will run. And there will be nothing anyone can really do about it...

eventually mebster will give up and a new era will begin.

even number of open tables has a major flaw...mebster sits at 16 tables, reg sits with mebster, mebster sits out, pops up the new table that just spawned and we are back where we started.

Yea obviously it has issues too, but it's a better option.

capping the number of tables would be ******ed b/c all the regs will be battling, and fish literally WONT be able to play b/c all the tables will be full of 2p2'tards blocking each other and fighting over 1ptbb/100

be careful what you wish for 2p2

I'm guessing pokerdiceg's days are numbered. I got an email back from ftp support saying they are conducting an invesitgation into our boy. Unfortunately, they can't release the results, but i'm guessing he won't be seeing him on every waitlist for much longer

I'm all for either a cap per player or a total cap on the number of tables. You guys complaining about it are the bums who can only beat the fish and would have to drop down in limits.

FYP.

A cap per player would actually bring in more fish since it would make the HU scene a lot less intimidating.

4 tables per player should solve the problem.

a cap on the total number of tables is idiotic. a cap on the number of tables one person can sit is the obvious solution.
