Last hand we played, he check-raised flop, barreled turn and saw me fold river to a bet. How do you see lower level regs approach these spots? After getting an opponent to fold to a river barrel the last time, can you see regs just playing their ranges and check-raising again the very next hand with a semi-bluff or do they usually have it in the back of their minds, that they just got one through on the river and their fold equity isnt good when doing it 2x in a row?
Also how do you see regs approach this sort of a mono flop vs cbets? Check-raise bluffs and turn barrels include only the nutflush draw? Do they just check-raise and give up turns with some lower flushdraws aswell? Im sure many regs would just call with the nfd on the flop here aswell, since it can easily call 2nd barrel aswell with the draw and still be ahead of bluffs.

id say that from std regs, bluffs on this structure would lean more towards hands like 4s6x or 45 without a spade (he should have all 64o and 54o vs minraise), as you said, higher fds play well as a x/call

dynamics wise, I guess 2nd in a row should generally be stronger, so he is probably more value heavy than usual. I wouldnt mind bluffjamming the river though with that combo, but it might be less credible with previous hand history. In the vacuum, Id say go smth like shove 1/3, call 2/3, but you can explo fold this

one more thing, if your std pre sizing is 2x, rake will destroy you @ nl50z

Thanks for the tip. So 3x pre is best usually or 2.5x? Do u pay pretty much the same rake when hand goes to flop after opening 2x or 3x? So thats why 2x gets destroyed by rake?

Wouldnt you want to bluffjam rivers with some Asx hands instead, rather than the boat blockers? Is it standard to checkraise sets on mono flops by regs?

2,5x is fine, the problem with 2x is that you force you opponents to defend bb super wide, thus paying more rake

as for the blockers, if we jam the river we are representing fullhouses only (at least with nl50z dynamics), so As blocker would be useless. You actually want him to have spades, as that is the part of his value range you want to make him fold.

Most regs play mixed or exploitative strategies with sets on monoboards from what Ive seen.
