tough to say, obv if we up rakeback to 100%, then the answer is yes, if we lower it to 30% or smth small (even with rake capped @ 50c), then the answer is no. 57% might just be enough, but the general advice you'll get is to start out playing husngs till you have enough for nl50, and then play mostly on sites where the rake is capped @ 50c. Maybe you'll just play some and evaluate whether it's worth wile conditional on your winrate and effective rake? dunno. GL

Hi, I have been away from poker for 2 years. I had been grinding out the $10 HUSNGs making slow progress. I'm looking at starting again with the goal of doing this for a living as I lost my job, again. Has much changed since I've been away?

My goal is to grind out the HUSNGs till I have enough buy-ins for 50NL HU. Is this a good plan? I know the games are very different. Should the natural progression be to move to cash if you want to make a good living with this?

That's what I did started husng than 50nl cash, I wouldn't bother playing anything lower than 50nl

i know rake is crazy at 50nl espically when short stacking, my question is can I just use this method to bonus whore at all the sites since i'll collect the points much faster?

Im looking to try out 20NLHU (i know its not the best due to rake). I played a lot of 50NL 6max on FTP before the whole US crackdown/ponzi scam then took a year and a half break from playing online. Now all the sites have changed does anyone have any opinions as to which site would be best for micro-small stakes HU?

ur in the US? get a rb deal with intertops (10-20c) imo, if so. one of my buddies who's been playing some small stakes HUNL has smashed it, game selecting. theres a plethora of really weak opponents to play at small stakes, just be really selective. watching what hes done has sort of changed my mind a bit concerning how beatable the small stakes are (with rake).

Hi there, im lookin to play onto HU or 3-max, i know the 3-max is a lil different but i think that there is a lot of HU action there, most of the time at least. I'll be playing microstakes, such as 0.10nl, so, the HU its all new for me, ive been a 6-max player with a lot of aggression and i think the 3-max/HU tables suits a lot for me, i would be reading a lot from here also looking at videos from coachs and else, but, anyway, again, i'll be playing micromicrostakes, any advice? or any book/video series to watch at? Hey i am a HU noob but played about 50k hands of hu 20nl and 50nl last month, just wondered if there was a thread or a supreme post on basic strategy for HUNL as want to further my game and move up to $100nl, as I think i play a wierd non standard style.

no basic strategy in hu, if you win @ NL50, NL100 isnt that big of a leap imo

I'm a total newbie to this. . community of HUNL, but. . If anyone could give me some pointers as to

1) . . Sustainable?
2) How do I game pick in these games? It seems like everytime I sit at a table people will play me for 20-30 hands and then just automatically sitout o_0. . . Am I supposed to be starting my own tables or what's going on as I see a ton of people sitting on so many peoples? I've been just. . randomly sitting at whichever table's got a fullstacked person I guess =/ I've tried starting games like people have suggested but it seems like the wait time can be foreverrrrrrr.
3) I looked over my database. . well not really, but sort of 'haha', and sorted for the small sample size of players I've got and it seems that a lot of the guys that play regularly here at 50nl. . 'the lowest stake' is a lot tighter than I am. . Just wondering If my play is a little unorthodox since well. . It's been going well winrate$$ wise o_0.
4) What kind of 'bewares', 'dangers' should I be looking out of whilst dabbling in these games~,

I figure the stats by position would help. . . I've been just going off some of the beginner strategy posts that people are making and something's off. . .

People are telling me to raise pretty much any two from the button. . and I am. . . but for some strange reason,
my winrate (bb/100) wise is just much lower from the sb than the btn. . which is odd cause It's oop no?

Should I be loosening up my btn a tad bit more? watched a video from deucescracked 'pr1nnyraid' and he said to open 100% of buttons. . . which I kinda struggle with but am having a ton of fun trying to do (:.

Your stats are pretty weird .
But your overall stats arent really important in HU.
Just to name some things that i find 'unorthodox':
First off you 3bet a lot (im not saying its too much, depends really on a lot of things) and my guess would be that you either outplay a lot of ppl postflop or you run good (very likely a combination of both).
Most of your winnings should really come from position, i.e. the btn but you win huge from the bb (probably because of your raw power 3bet).
This kind of winrate certainly isnt sustainable, at max I'd guess ~10bb/100 is when playing regs (maybe a bit more, its only 50NL afterall)
Overall you look like a solid player, both lines are going up and it seem that luck is on your side aswell

Anyone rate the videos on leggo poker for SS HUNL an 6 max games?

Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with aggressive all-ins? I've been finding myself having a ton of trouble with this and don't know how to fix it aside from being a bit more looser on my all-in calls.
