Hi, I'm new to forums & HU but not new to poker,
I currently play HU SNG's Micro stakes and want to know if you can get a report in HEM or PT3 to show PF ALL INs only. And another to show overall +-EV. I can do this for cash but not SNG's

So after building a roll up I'm ready to take a shot at 50 NL HU pretty soon as a transition from playing HUSNGs. My question is how to figure out who to play. Obviously I don't intend to be a bumhunter but for my first couple of sessions I'd like to play against losing players to get started before taking a crack at the regs. I'm thinking that pretty much anyone who is sitting at a table waiting is going to be a regular, right? So should I just sit down at my own table and PTR anyone who sits down to make sure they aren't a winning reg? With HUSNGs I always just sit down and play whoever since even the regs are spewy and awful at my stakes. I imagine that there are plenty of 50 NL grinders I wouldn't want to play at first though.

^ just sit first and ptr anyone that sits you and then sit out if you look them up and see they are good

Have anyone read Easy Game by balugawhale, and can comment on the HU section written by MatthewRyan

Is it (still?) a good framework for SS NLHU? Is there anything better out there you can recommend?

I've tried tightening up my opening range drastically (going from 90% to 50%) but even then, I still whiff most flops and can't handle the barrels.

Should I start 4-betting lighter? Should my 4bets be polarized (AQ+, TT+ and air?)

I used to think I should just call with strong hands like KQ and AJ to keep his range wide and get lots of value when I pair, but I find I lose to much money on flops I miss.

Should I be opening for 2 BB? in addition to / instead of tightening up?

New to HU, appreciate thoughts.

In terms of figuring out a 4bet range it all depends on how he reacts to your 4bets. If he's either 5betting or folding then yes you need to polarize your range. If he's flatting your 4bets a lot (this will happen more often when deep, although the same applies 100bb deep too) then you need to merge your range for value with hands like AJ, KQ, 99, KJs, etc depending on just how wide he's flatting you. If he's a complete maniac that's 3betting 40% and calling 70% of 4bets then you even need to start 4betting hands like KT for value. It all depends on how wide his calling range is which is basically 3bet% * call 4bet%.

50 & 100nl

Thanks jcrowe, makes sense.

It's frustrating because whenever I get owned in HU it seems to be in pots when i'm IP. In 6-max it was usually in spots where I was OOP.

Of course this might have to do with me barely playing any hands OOP vs LAGs in HU.

I see thanks.

How does coaching HU work? do you send your coach HH's or does he/she sweat you or do you just record sessions (screencapture) and go over sessions together over skype or something?

for 50nl expect anywhere between 50 and 100 an hr. And coaching can be done a few ways from live sweats to HH reviews. Best way is to record a video of yourself playing with camstasia and then review the video using teamviewer and skype

Around what stakes is it generally feasible/not too detrimental to ones winrate to start playing on euro sites (considering that most of them have a rake cap of $1)?

Hello, pretty new to poker here.

Do any sites offer HUNLHE at stakes below 50NL?

Any help is appreciated.

There are several euro sites that does (ipoker and, i think, entraction & ongame, for example; probably more than these though), and also absolute poker iirc. The rake is a concern though

are you just looking at their score then and what would you consider a fish right now I am playing guys 25 and below
****General Questions THREAD**** Quote

No dont go by their score. Go by what bb/100 they are. Usually anyone -8bb or more is a pretty big fish if you are really looking to bumhunt
