First post on the sub-forum. I'd like to hear opinions on this hand.
Backstory is, I've spun a 4x and both opponents are probably
not very good. Displaying small bet sized and general
passivity like most non-maniac recreationals.

I want to win the 4x because in
spins you want to win spin tourneys, and it's also $60 more BR than
if I lose it, but then I run into this spot and I'm like ???

I lead flop, dunno why enemy calls but he calls, I hit good turn
and enemy's timing tells mostly suggest weakness. Then the river
comes and enemy donks all in quickly.

Should I fold expecting the typical trip sevens or make a hero call
and get shown the 7s but make an excuse that I had less than a full pot
left behind and this is near the top of my range so I should call
to not get exploited?

I think this needs to be moved to HU SNGs. Any mods 2 help?

Check pre. Do you just raise 100% of hands when limped to? It's probably not a terrible strategy but most players will adjust very quickly and it's normally far more effective (not to mention twice as cheap) to take a free flop and just stab at all flops when checked to in this spot.

Again I generally prefer a flop check back. Again we are in a far better spot to stab at the turn when checked to twice.

Turn bet waaaay smaller. Are targetting mainly 7x and 2x. About 1/3 pot.

River, no we are not at the top of our range at all considering we bet three streets so far. We also have a club. We can fold this but hate fact that we let the pot balloon.

Agree with check preflop and small bet turn.
River i am ok with folding.
