Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) - Converted at http://www.handhistoryconverter.com

CO ($18.09)
Hero (SB) ($10)
UTG ($17.15)
MP ($7.61)
Button ($7.19)
BB ($5.38)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J, K
3 folds, Button raises $0.30, Hero raises $0.85, 1 fold, Button calls $0.60

Flop: ($1.90) A, 5, 7 (2 players)

I'd just cbet vs reg but what should I do vs fish (I don't know much about him) ? x/f as he could have all Ax here or b/f because A is scary card and he could fold big part of his range ?

c/f you'd be surprised how often he checks down and K high is good.
Fish also have like every single Ax in this spot.

PF seems pretty close and is usually the bottom of my range as SB vs. a BTN open. I'm probably pitching it against a 3x open. If we do 3-bet, I like sizing up just a little bit ($1.05 or so).

As played, I like betting small -- ~1/3 PSB, maybe a tad smaller -- on these types of textures with range advantage. I agree that fish will have way more Ax's here than a normal player will have, but I also think a fish will still fold the flop enough for a small c-bet to be profitable.

I'd check it down and try to realize my equity.

Lets assume that BTN is a solid reg.

My plan here would be;
3bet pre (10BB), bet 1/3 OTF and barrel any card that gives us GSSD and BDFD.

My question is, are we balanced with that range?
And if we brick, should we fire the river if;
a) the river blanks, there's no flush on board
b) the river is a 3rd hearth

@AltoZZ

Again I am bit more on the "i dont care about being balanced" side in this spot.

This is fish and we can play full exploitable. If you got any reads and he is a "fit or fold" fish, just cbet 1/3 pot and take it down.

If he doesnt give up just check / fold or you can hope for a check down.

vs unknown fish i prefer 1/3 pot to pick up dead money. vs this stacksize i x/fold turns unimproved.

Vs fish, I'll cbet one and done. Probably barrelling hearts as x/c or x/f seems awful and we can get folds from QQ-88/7X.

Vs reg, seems like one of best hand to double barrel and triple barrel on heart runouts, blocking AJ and hearts (only other hand we have here is KQhx that seems decent to barrel).

As this is micros ima put this out there:

c/fing is vastly superior to cbetting this vs a fish. Even if say cbetting 1/3 might be profitable the EV of trying to check it down is way superior.

1. as i said he has a ton of Ax
2. He is never folding any pair
3. Passive fish rarely stab their air at all
4. we make him fold hands we dominate by betting

So he only folds worse and calls better if we bet.
And he is very likely to check down if we have the best hand.

It's dependent on the type of fish, in general though I fine stabbing 1/3p is better than x/f.

If villain has tons of Ax, they have tons of other junk thats x/f. I've found nowadays fish are stabbing more and more, especially after we check twice/3 times as we show so much weakness, but vs passive fish x/f seems fine.

Making villain fold worse is perfectly fine as we deny their equity and also deny their chance to bluff of us our best hand as we can't call a bet. I think you're overestimating the passivity of all fish here, at least for the player pools that I've played in.
