I am new to theory. I have experience with neural networks. I want to build a bot that can beat good players at heads up NL. Is this possible? Can anyone do it? Where can I read about everything that is known about optimal heads up play? What are the optimal raise ranges and three bet ranges etc?
You probably won't get a lot of help around here. But the hyperboreans at University of Alberta, inter alia, have published much public literature on the theoretical approach to the problem. They're partial to the 100,000 foot view.
IMO, however, the best approach would be always minding game-theoretic considerations while making rapacious use of real-world data.
