Recent game 25NL HU

Im mini opening 90% buttons guy calls 50% 3bets 20% 8bb
I 4bet him 2 times 1 time he folded 2nd time i 4bet A5s he insta jams I folded.

He opens 80% buttons I 3bet 15% and flat about 40%

Op tendencies
20% check raise flop
Fold flop cbet 25%
Fold turn cbet 25%
Fold river cbet 40%

If we check flop he bets turn 66% and river about 66% of the time.
My strategy was to cbet top pair for value 2 streets good T+ kickers even 3 streets
Cbet 2nd pair with good kickers 2 streets
Cbet flop + turn with 2 overs / Over + gs / OESD + all FD's

What happened is the following my cbets went to
60% flop 60% turn and 40% river

We played for 1000 hands 2 tables and I lost 2 buyins without really huge pots.

Whenever I would check turn 40% of the time he would bet river about 70% of the time.

I don't feel like I was running normal probably cold cause didn't get many sets or 2 pairs or flushes and other good hands so he would call me down. But I felt like I am losing a lot of small / medium size pots that were going not my way.

general question is how we can device a plan to exploit opponent tendencies.
I wrote my best adjustment strategy of barrelling flop + turn with value / equity hands but that wasn't enough so what can we do vs opponent like this?

Is it worth it to tightening our opening range vs opponent like this and then 3x maybe? Please help I can't find an answer of my own...how to adjust appropriately.

Worry less about how to exploit this particular opponent and more about how to build an unexploitable default strategy yourself.

Actually i take that disagree back these guys are tough to play against and some will also donk a v high % of the time and not fold to raise n try bluff river etc pain in the ass, And yes maybe the best decision is to focus on our own strategy rather then try an exploit these tricky guys
