Sorry, don't know how to post the hand history. Ill just keep it short and sweet.
Villian 2-bets to $23
Hero 3-bets to $55 (A-3 o)
Villian calls
Flop: A-A-K 2 spades
Hero bets $56
Villian calls
Turn: 6 2 hearts and 2 spades now
Hero bets $111
Villian calls
River: 5 off suit
Hero bets $183
Villian calls and shows K-10 diamonds
Pot: $813
Note: We both had 1k stacks and I was playing above my bankroll. I know that I probably lost value, but I wanted to keep K-x in the hand and also minimize a possible loss. What do you think ideal bet sizing would be? Is A-3o a good 3 bet candidate? Fold or call a possible 4 bet?

Don't want to be rude man but you probably should try climbing the ladders from the bottom and studying the game on poker training sites as runitonce or upswingpoker.

No worries, Your criticism is constructive. I have been playing poker a long time and have been a consistant winner, poker is my only source of income. This was my first venture into HU which is a different beast. A-3o is not a 3 bet hand in full ring or 6-max, but in HU I would think any A is a 3 bet hand because it will be ahead a lot of the time pre flop. Your right, ill look up HU strategy though.
Ps: I normally play 200-500 6 max nl/plo. The only reason I stepped into 1k hu nl was because someone was talking **** and wanted me to play him at 5-10 hu. I took him for $800 and left.

I don't believe poker is your main source of income. Most online pros use PT4 or HEM fact you wrote this out long hand tells me you don't. Secondly most online pros multitable. Fact you let some random talk you away from a table and to play outside your roll tells me that you don't multitable and you don't have good bankroll management skills. Lastly the spot you are asking about is very standard any 6m reg would know how to play since they start tables playing hu. To answer no we don't 3b any Ax hu if we did that we would be dominated a lot. This forum is to give and receive help. It's best to be honest about your background.

you should never 3bet with A3 being an unexperienced played. Alot of the times on this flop villain could have better Ax hands than you. You just got lucky. Dont overthink the situation
