Whether we are able to push legislation through now, in the near future, or further down the line, it's important to ensure we have as many Reps. and Senators on our side as possible. We also need to make sure we have the votes(Barton claims we do) when the crucial vote does come. Remember, these reps & Senators could influence your state opting out as well.
Here is where each rep/senator stands ATM:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...WFlMWx3OUpkSXc
Here is a breakdown which will automatically update when we find out where they stand. Keep in mind this is somewhat dated.
Total For (HR) - 129
Total Against (HR) - 132
Undecided - 65
Unknown - 109
Total For (Sen) - 4
Total Against (Sen) - 11
Undecided - 72
Unknown - 13
The Action Plan will consist of:
Phone
Facebook
Twitter
Letters (web or mail)
The plan will target Reps & Senators from 1-3 states at a time for a duration of multiple days. Everyone will have ample time to target each rep/senator in every way possible.
You are welcome to just complete part of each plan(web based), but phone calls as a preliminary contact will be important. If you can't do it, PLEASE pad the easy tweets or FB posts so when we ask a rep or senator to ask Americans how they feel on this issue via Twitter or FB, our numbers will show strong.
I know morale is low right now, but spare those few seconds: I think the last thing we want is to get a vote and whiff. That would be devastating.
Also, always start with Rich's Action Plan, he makes it so easy to complete & targets the most crucial contacts. Feel free to really join in when we swing around to your state so you can make your presence felt more.
Please post any recent or new updates you get on a Rep/Senator's stance here so we can update. I don't know when the last time the SS was updated so even if it's been a while, post that rep/sen's response.
