Working on this now. I'm putting "USA" in front of the rest of the text though.

Actually, I reworded it to this: "U.S. regulated Online #poker is a safe bet - much safer than the current environment. Support HR2366 to protect Americans."

Just a reminder (thanks to slugggerx5) to drop a note to the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction here:

http://www.deficitreduction.gov/publ...4-d4a0283b1090

EASY thing to do.

For thousands of jobs and billions in revenues, include licensing and regulating U.S. online poker in the deficit reduction plan.

Re: Standing for Poker this Sunday: Help poker win the 10/25 House online poker hearing in 30 s

October 23, 2011

The U.S. House Subcommittee for Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade will hold a hearing on Internet gaming on Tuesday, October 25, 2011. So, let's keep working!
  1. Subcommittee Chair Mary Bono Mack (R-CA) posted a notice of this hearing to her Facebook wall. She asks, "What are your thoughts on the issue?" I recommend we all continue to go HERE to answer her question and to like other pro-poker responses! Let's also go back to her earlier Facebook wall post HERE to like the pro-poker comments. [Speed tip: Hit CTRL-F for search, then search for "poker" and "2366". Use "highlight all."]
  2. Let's like the pro-poker posts on the Facebook walls HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE. If you wish to do more today, please make some pro-poker posts there as well. [Speed tip: Click these links with either your middle mouse button or CTRL + your left mouse button to open these in separate tabs. Then, go tab-by-tab to knock them out.]
  3. Let's like the pro-poker comments on the Facebook posts HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE. If you wish to do more today, please make some pro-poker posts there as well.
  4. Send a prefilled tweet promoting today's action plan HERE.
Please reply in this thread with "posted", "done", etc. to encourage others to participate. The past 54 actions have generated triple-digit participation, so let's keep it growing. Thanks!

======================

If you wish to do even more today, let's reach out to the rest of the subcommittee with respectful requests for them to support poker at the 10/25 hearing. At a minimum, please go to the Facebook pages and like the pro-poker posts.

I'm not an authority, but this is what I understand:

This hearing gives the subcommittee members some information about online gaming -- not just poker. The end result will be the education of the committee members.

Some will think all online gaming is bad and want nothing to do with it ever again. Some will think maybe we should push for online poker only. Some will think all online gaming should be licensed and regulated.

This is not a hearing on a specific bill. It is a hearing on a topic.
