H.R. 2366, the Online Poker Act, has been referred to three committees in the House: Energy and Commerce, Judiciary, and Financial Services. This is the third and final list of committee members (for the House) -- Financial Services, so let's continue to Facebook them this weekend!

The FOR/AGAINST/UNDECIDED/UNKNOWN after each name is based on H.R.1174, the Campbell/Frank online gaming bill. The names with an “x” in front of them are those who do not allow direct posting on their Facebook wall.

No problem for us. Just post a comment in response to a post already on the page. PLEASE BE SENSITIVE about this though. If the post says the Congressperson is being treated for cancer, don’t bother them with poker. Tell them to get well soon. Be sensitive to what’s going on in their state too – wild fires, tornadoes, hurricanes, flooding, etc. And PLEASE say please and thank you. Courtesy goes a long way.

Oh, and let’s all try to get the bill number correct. It’s H.R. 2366.

Let's all also remember to revisit these walls to like the posts and comments made since your last visit. Thanks!

Hey TE, does the PPA have any plans on working with the AGA on this issue of a separate poker bill? They're planning to introduce a new poker bill this fall, and IMO it will only serve to dilute the poker community's support. I don't understand why they didn't work with Barton to begin with so that we would all be on the same page.

Also, once they introduce their bill, which bill will Reid support (or will he support both)? Just wondered if we should have anything in the daily action plan here aimed towards them.

Yeah, she's not really worth arguing with, but I put in a few remarks. I think the site actually deleted some of her previous comments so maybe they will again. Because she's just so rude and tilting.

Yes, the issue is being worked. It's not too surprising that to see some political posturing at this point. It's actually a good sign that the details of the issue are being taken seriously. IMO that means we're that much closer to moving a bill through Congress. If we were not, no one would care what it said.

Hey, people, make sure you READ what you're liking. Somebody posted that H.R.2366 needs to go on the congressional ash-heap, and y'all are liking it!

http://www.facebook.com/EdRoyce?ref=ts&sk=wall

Ryan, Jo, Stosh, and Greg need to go back and unlike, and the rest of us need to pay attention to what we're liking. Just because you see "H.R.2366" doesn't mean the post is pro-H.R.2366.

Sorry if I sound like I'm scolding. I don't mean to. We've all been working hard. And we're doing good. Carry on!

Done. Did the daily plan as well as the "against" list that LastLife put together above.

One way to get around the posting ban is to comment on somebody else's post instead. That's why some of you will see that I kinda piggyback onto your post. It means I'm either using an account that isn't verified, or I've been blocked from posting.

I think the best way is for people who live in these districts to really hammer on them hard with phone calls, e-mails, letters, and meeting requests. Don't stop until you get a commitment. That's what I'm trying to do right now, but can't get jack out of my guys office other than "Black friday happened, HR1174 exists, thank you for contacting me. I'll consider your views."

Hey guys, been fb bombing all day and I have to say I'm thrilled at the amount of effort being put into this. I've been off and on since bf but after seeing the amount of dedication everybody here has put into contacting congressmen/women and the organizational efforts that people have put forth to make things easier for the lazier side of poker players I'm going to ramp up my efforts.

I rarely hit a fb page where we aren't heavily represented, and I think I'll turn my efforts to phone calls/emails tomorrow to try and reach out on a more personal level.

Thanks again to everybody putting this together and doing the legwork to make this push such a success.

It catches "p0ker" now too. I had to resort to "card playing", which isn't nearly as specific as I'd like but it got my post on the wall, with what I feel are some extremely valid points.

Hmm-mm censorship what to do? Since now we know it not just a random spam filter that includes poker the page admin is actively filter words for us.

I'm also from the 10th district of NC. The censorship is ridiculous if it's a legitimate issue and we aren't exactly spamming. I would also post about the active censorship of our honest posts.
