It's not a double-negative, though.
Opposing a government ban on an activity is not the same as supporting that activity. Our opponents like to claim it is, of course. They equate free speech supporters with "smut peddlers," those who don't support efforts to ban poker with being an advocate of people playing, etc. We're not asking Romney to come out and say he supports online poker at this point. Rather, we want him to refuse to support efforts to ban it.
