The Senate Indian Affairs Committee is holding a hearing to examine the impact of Internet gaming regulation on Indian tribes on Thursday, Nov. 17th (updated link) at 2:15 PM ET. PPA Chairman former Sen. D'Amato will testify for PPA, to be accompanied by Executive Director John Pappas.

The U.S. House Subcommittee for Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade will hold another hearing on Internet gaming on Friday, November 18th at 9 AM ET. So, let's all take a few minutes to take action in support of these important hearings!
  1. Let's send the Senate committee members prefilled, editable NEW pro-poker tweets: HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE. [Speed tip: Click these links with either your middle mouse button or CTRL + your left mouse button to open these in separate tabs. Then, go tab-by-tab to knock them out.]
  2. Let's send the House committee members these NEW pro-poker tweets as well: HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.
  3. Send a prefilled tweet promoting today's action plan HERE.
Please reply in this thread with "tweeted", "done", etc. to encourage others to participate. The past 73 actions have generated triple-digit participation, so let's keep it growing. Thanks!

i like that the tweets are not all cookie cutter (ie you don't tell Barton to support his own bill, instead you say thank you.)

Isn't that the bill the congressman in the 60 minutes piece said had been introduced a handful of times already and has gotten a laughable amount of support every time? Im all for it but it seems like it isn't going anywhere.

Done with the tweets. Will do facebooking a little later. We need more people going further than just the tweets. We need more voices on the facebook pages. Just for the next couple of days. TWO hearings, peeps! Let them HEAR us.

(Yes, there is a bill to stop congresscritters from doing insider trading, but it has almost zero support in congress and will never pass.)

According to Chris Krafcik the "N.H. Lottery Director Charlie McIntyre" will be a witness at the House subcommittee hearing. I can't find Charlie's facebook or twitter. If anyone finds it please post it.
