Cantor's wall might be a bit fruitless with the endless wave of trolls. I would rather focus efforts where they are most efficient with our numbers, such as Kyl and Hensarling.

That said, DONE!

Yeah...it's a mess, but I think we still want to put one post up there with a ton of likes.

Hey all, I had my meeting with Patty Murray's office today. Just thought I would share a couple of things. I talked with one of her aids for about 30 min. I asked if he knew what was going on with this issue, his reply was I believe it is against the law here. He knew nothing of what was going on that he led me to believe. Went threw all the normal info. The one thing I was told is that any of her constituents that want to submit suggestions or ideas for the deficit reduction committee needed to write a official letter to send in. I have to write a summary of what we discussed and email it to them and it will get sent with their notes to D.C. I said that she should listen to everyone for this is an issue that effects to whole nation. He agree with me but said there is not enough manpower for that. I took in stats of all 3 bill's from POPVOX and left them with other things for them to look over. I was told that he never heard of this before. The aid did not give me any indication of what side she may be leaning towards. I did stress for them to look at the social media outlets she has,and he said that they do. Someone must be reading something because the last email response I got from her was still just a general noncommittal one but it did at least get changed to address the topic, although I did not like that she used online gambling, and not online poker. I think that shows a little where her mind set might be. Here it is.

Thank you for contacting me regarding online gambling. I appreciate having the benefit of your views on this matter.

The views of Washingtonians are very important to my work. I will keep your thoughts in mind, and I encourage you to stay in touch. If you would like to know more about my work in the Senate, please feel free to sign up for my weekly updates at http://murray.senate.gov/public/inde...etEmailUpdates. Again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with me.

Sincerely,
Patty Murray
United States Senator

This was my first meeting I have had with a politician, and it was a good learning experience for me. The one thing I learned was to streamline my info better to fit into the time allotted. I did not get through everything I wanted to present. Organizing information can make a meeting like this go a lot smoother. I spent quite a bit of time preparing, and now see what I need to work on. Just some insight from a newbie at this stuff. I did get asked questions that I was not all that prepared for, and that disrupted my flow a little.

So to all others from Washington State, it could not hurt to draft up a letter with suggestions and ideas for Patty Murray about the deficit reduction committee and send it into one of her offices .

Yeah, but we'll definitely need a couple of post-specific links to like since the wall is so busy.

Edit: Here's what I posted 4 hours ago: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/...50373631305530

It took me a while to find it -- had to hit "older posts" a gizillion times. Please like it. Thanks.

We had two victories today. One was in getting more pro-poker tweets than anti-poker ones. The other was in getting triple-digit participation again. So, it's another successful day.

Small victories build into bigger victories, which build into major victories. It all starts with taking the 30 seconds to participate, so I thank you for your taking action here as usual

It is a daunting board. Cantor posted something twelve hours ago that already had 500+ comments and almost 1000 likes!

There is an option to sort by top posts, at http://www.facebook.com/ericcantor?sk=wall&filter=12. Perhaps we should target two posts and try to top that.

BTW, I liked your post.

Are there a lot of anti-poker tweets? There hardly seem to be any on FB.

I've never seen one.

Anti-gaming types aren't strong at all on social network activism.

No need to thank me, I'm doing this for myself.

Hopefully we'll see quadruple digits before November, if everyone who's participating could get 1 person extra a day to participate, that number could be reached in no time. I say November, but could be wrong, isn't that when details of the Super Committee is supposed to be known or due?

Side note: I don't think you get enough praise TheEngineer, no matter what happens, your work is greatly appreciated and won't ever be forgotten.

I just clicked on the top posts link, both here and from the link on the page where I was. It doesn't seem to work very well. The "top post" had 5 likes and it was one of their trolls. No poker on top posts.

That has happened to me before. And possibly a couple other people. I've decided to just not worry about it and use a different alias.
