As pointed out, there is the flaw. IMO, we need to completely remove the concept of ethics from the law. Ethics should have NOTHING to do with whether or not anybody is allowed to do anything. Murder is illegal, and should remain so, but not because it is unethical. It should be illegal because you are directly harming another person without their permission. Same for assault, theft, etc.

but if you, as an adult, want to play online poker with other consenting adults, yes, you should be allowed. heck, if you want to do sick, twisted **** with other consenting adults, go right ahead. Just because I think it's sick doesn't mean you or anybody else has to agree with me. But if it's consenting adults, in private, do whatever you want.

Until we get most voters to agree with this concept, IN ITS ENTIRETY, we are always going to face this fight, whether it is about online poker, or other things that were fought in the past, such as interracial marriage and other things that most of us take for granted today. I think that enforcing any ethics is the same thing as combining church and state, and should be held unconstitutional. But that victory is a long way in the future still.

Lol, it is too much effort for one person to go out and try to legalize online poker. It is easier to grind, save up money, and relocate to somewhere where you can play online poker legally. As to what i am doing now.

Especially true considering 90% of the world is cheaper to live in than California, and if online poker were to ever be legalized here it would be taxed to **** and most likely there would be no money in it.

So save up money and relocate if you want to play online poker seriously. The energy needed to "fight" for online poker is a waste of time. It would be common sense for something like poker to be legalized tho, it is the equivalent of abolishing slavery. Which we needed to "fight" for sadly. But by the time slavery was abolished, the people that did the abolishing were dead. It was too long of a process. Im not wasting my entire life trying to "fight" for poker when common sense alone dictates that it should be made legal to play.

Both comments above is the exact point I have been trying to make. Just because online poker is fairly new in the big picture is irrelevant.

The Constitution already guarantees certain rights and freedoms. Poker is no different than porn. Just because some argue it is wrong does not mean it is still not a right for law abiding tax paying citizens.

"The fight" is nothing more than a ruse, a money grab deception for something we actually already have the right to do

Hire yourself a lawyer and sue the government for violating your rights, that is how you deal with what you are trying to establish

or, you can be realistic about it, and realize the laws are the laws because people made the laws the laws, and if you want different laws, you have to convince enough people to change the laws.

those are your choices, of course you do have the third choice of whining on an internet forum, but I don't think there is much satisfaction in that
