In all seriousness, I just moved back to the States from Prague in December. I have no idea about this particular law. But, like most governments, I wouldn't rely on any promises or scheduled dates that are released / said.

Every year I lived in Prague ppl said the next year there would be no smoking in pubs / restuarants / cafes. Well, there is still smoking in pubs / restaurants / cafes. Who really knows what will happen or what the legal landscape for online poker will be.

No more news?

Well.. as long as the sites are down, it's more like a stop to selling cigarettes.. then banned smoking.

PokerStars Set to Return to Czech Republic Under Country’s First International License

You guys are much faster than our government is. PokerStars exited Slovenia in July 2016 and it seems we'll have to wait for quite a while more :/

sadly its not so great as it seems, we wont be able to play this month almost surely, as they (ps) dont know how to create client with all those czech laws and also we wont get any rakeback, plus we will be mandatory to make new accounts, lets hope we will be able to play in March at least

We’re getting ready to launch the new PokerStars.CZ site on Thursday, February 16, but to make it as easy as possible to access the widest range of games online you’ll need to withdraw your current Stars Account balance.

When we launch the PokerStars.CZ software, there will be an account creation process to help you set up a PokerStars.CZ account using your existing details. However, before you will be able to do this you will need to cashout your funds here. Unfortunately, the regulation doesn’t allow us to simply transfer the funds to your new PokerStars.CZ Stars Account once created, therefore you will have to withdraw.

To withdraw your remaining balance and other funds (including Tournament Money, StarsCoin and Tournament Tickets, all of which we’ll convert into cash for you) hit the button below, or visit the ‘Cashier’ in your Stars Account now. Doing this now will ensure that you are ready to create and deposit into a new PokerStars.CZ account as easily as possible, so you can access your favorite games straight away.

We will contact you again soon to let you know exactly when you can start playing at PokerStars.CZ.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact our Support team.

Thank you once again for your patience.

Any other details regarding rakeback/bonuses, freerolls, betting/winning limits?

About bonuses/rb we will see after they launch it.
They cant run freerolls here, also they cant run Spin and Go here. I think they will run it in future but not yet.
Limits... You can set your own gambling limits, other limits will be only for new accounts what are not verified yet.
Probably there will be clear new account registrations.
We can be sure after Thursday.

stupid law... I read it on czech forum, dont know why. But it will by something with random prizepool i think.

e:
random prizepool is problem. They should have another license for spins aside to poker license. (lol)

Due to uncertainty on a regulatory requirement regarding multi-table tournament guarantees within our new online ‘Live Games’ license from the Czech State Supervision of Gambling and Lotteries Department, PokerStars.CZ will not be offering access to any tournaments that carry a guarantee . PokerStars continues to work closely with the Czech regulator and hopes to address this issue as soon as possible.

WTf so basically mtts are off limits. Worst regulation ever.

Does anyone speaking Czech have some more information about this MTT thing ? That seems utterly stupid to not allow guaranteed prizepools.
Czech Regulation Quote
02-17-2017 , 02:29 PM
Especially since there are live MTTs here that certainly have guarantees.

its something like 50% of gtd must be collected before tournament start... terrible, but i hope ps will solve this problem somehow

Also in law they set minimum rake to 5% (formulated like maximum 95% of buyins can be paid off on prizes)
