Is it legal to open up a platform for online casino, online poker and online sports betting based in the USA?

It seems that it is not legal according to this website: https://www.legalzoom.com/articles/o...ng-is-it-legal

However, there are legal online gambling sites based in several States in the USA. When I search into the legality of online gambling I see that in some States it is legal but this only means legal to participate as a player.

Can anyone clearify this please?

Try this: https://www.onlinepoker.net/laws

The legal sites that are located in some states are licensed by each state under their laws. You'll need millions of dollars to open up shop and get one of the licenses.

Sportsbetting is becoming more prevalent in the states, online casinos should soon follow. New Jersey is leading the way. Major outlets like Draftkings, Fanduel, and others have setup shop there to start their sites. You have to be physically located in New Jersey (geo-checking software) in order to play. Other states like Pennsylvania and Nevada are also becoming more open. Where I live, Illinois, sports betting is now legal. As one responder said, it takes you have to have an existing casino (license) to open a book or have millions of dollars to buy very few licenses. Either way, the government wants to control (tax!) as much of this as possible. Sooner it should be available across the states, can't leave that much money on the table!

The Indian casinos that have their flag planted in certain states around the U.S will fight tooth and nail because they have a regional monopoly on gambling but I think because of Covid-19 states could give a flying-f*ck about loyalties to the current Indian casinos because of the diminished revenues they are getting from them this year so its only natural they will look elsewhere to pad their pockets with digital alternatives for people to get their gambling fix.
