Almost all CC companies in Uk class gambling deposits as a cash deposit/withdraw not apurchase nowadays. There is a new card that harks back to old treatment as a purchase but most way charge 3% and 30% APR plus order payments put last to pay off :s

That new Bachus Bachman amendment didn't sound 2 bad...Even gave an appeal process...Clearly they didn't have enough time to mastermind more stupidity...

The U.S. doesn't care about the WTO...Who are they fooling??? If it did care about the WTO, how did they just decide to pull out of the gaming business allowable under the WTO, when they see it?

Independent contractors, not employees in the case of prop players. If that isn't the current setup it could easily be made to be. Rakeback players aren't employees by any reasonable definition.

Given that it increases the chances of the bill passes, it's a positive.

I'd agree with you in principle, but consider that a player's winnings come from other players, while rakeback comes from the "house."

Hard to do this without at least opening up some jobs...A B2B system may be the best solution...

Re: HR 2267 Markup, Wed. 7/28 10:00am

I agree about opening up jobs, but make the writing more clear, its absurd to expect all companies not from the US to move their entire operation here, a part or main HQ is very reasonable and smart, it doesn't seem they want this, they want the entire Cake...that is irresponsible and not feasible IMO.

I agree, he is doing a good job of allowing appeals

Rakebake is a consumer discount. It's a refund, not a salary.

A prop player is much closer to an employee depending on the deal. If they're being paid a fee to play they're either an employee or an independent contractor.

Am I hearing Bachus right. Is he trying to amend the bill to not regulate, but to modify the UIGEA to provide banks a list instead.
