Yeah I hate the credit card amendment, but I can see the reasons in favor of it.

It is, however, another amendment that is weakening this bill during markup, protests to the contrary not withstanding.

A full legislative session. Some states only meet once every year, two years or have already finished their session for this year to get around the original 90-day time frame.

You can buy stock on credit pretty easily.... not with a credit card though.

Again, most cc companies didn't allow deposits to gambling sites even when it was 100% legal. Everyone basically deposited through neteller or paypal. This isn't a problem at all.

Right right, but those types of transactions are regulated separately and have bounds and limits and stuff, I think?

Bachman introduces an amendment that nobody who is delinquent on child support payments can gamble online. I guess that is reasonable, seems really niche though, and is there any precedent for stuff like this in any other industry?

The people who can't pay their child support are probably the type of person I want spewing their money when I'm at the tables

Its by far the least important of the negative amendments. I dont think it is a big deal either, but its marginally negative.

there's been no mention of the foreign player base. Are we going to lose the Euros due to protectionism?

Are people behind on their child support allowed to do scratchers? We should move all state lottery to the internet so we can protect them from themselves.

I didn't hear any mention of debit cards. Pretty sure the amendment was just addressing credit cards, the motive being that people shouldn't gamble on credit.

slugger5x misheard dblgutted. Only prohibits credit cards. Debit or prepaid cards wouldn't be prohibited.
