At least this guy can write a complete sentence, unlike the last half dozen or so people.

Now it seems I can "like" comments, but I am blocked from posting comments of my own. Lame.

Called my Rep last week and sent letters. No responses yet.

Wow. Online poker comment bomb! Impressive. Joe Barton is a good man and I will definitely seek out his advice on this issue.
Make sure to thank him for his response. I would too but Facebook is giving me a posting ban.

Wow. 2nd person to say so (posting ban). Wonder what that's all about. I suppose we'll all get there at some point? Let us know if it's temporary -- how long it lasts, please.

IDK why but I can't do anything. I might just not be facebook savvy enough to figure it out. If I log out the buttons are there, but as soon as I log in... poof.

Can I get some likes on my senator pages? They are the first two on this list -- http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/57...sting-1032620/

Thanks. I'm going to go through the whole list again since it's been a while so if anybody wants to follow me through and like and/or post, have at it. (Remember to click on most recent to see the posts.)

H.R. 2366, the Online Poker Act, has been referred to three committees in the House: Energy and Commerce, Judiciary, and Financial Services. This is the third and final list of committee members (for the House) -- Financial Services. Let’s Facebook them!

The FOR/AGAINST/UNDECIDED/UNKNOWN after each name is based on H.R.1174, the Campbell/Frank online gaming bill. The names with an “x” in front of them are those who do not allow direct posting on their Facebook wall.

No problem for us. Just post a comment in response to a post already on the page. PLEASE BE SENSITIVE about this though. If the post says the Congressperson is being treated for cancer, don’t bother them with poker. Tell them to get well soon. Be sensitive to what’s going on in their state too – wild fires, tornadoes, hurricanes, flooding, etc. And PLEASE say please and thank you. Courtesy goes a long way.

Oh, and let’s all try to get the bill number correct. It’s H.R. 2366.

Let's all also remember to revisit these walls to like the posts and comments made since your last visit. Thanks!

2+2 should just temp close every subforum except legislation, seriously IMO

We want a concentrated effort, that's how we do it. As long as the other forums remain open at least half of 2+2 is just going to NVG tard it up photoshopping Bill Chen and ****

Giving up temporary access to the other subforums in exchange for a better long term chance for the game is probably well worth it. We seem too busy photoshopping cheeseburgers onto Ray Bitar photos to be bothered though

Perhaps the strictly strat forums can remain open

Knox County raided another Home Game.

http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2011/ju...on-poker-game/

I'm posting this in here because they were talking about this on the biggest radio station in Knoxville and I called into the show. I explained about Black Friday, Barton Bill, how players have yet to receive their funds, etc..... The station is very powerful in regards to the area it covers. I live in Kentucky and get near perfect reception so it should have reached a lot of people and hopefully made them aware of the situation. The announcers were unaware of Black Friday or the Barton Bill but said they were interested and would be looking into it. I couldn't listen after I called but I'm hoping that it sparked even more conversation.

If this should go in a different thread for any reason, please move it.

The FOR/AGAINST/UNDECIDED/UNKNOWN after each name is based on H.R.1174, which was an internet gambling law, not specific to poker, so don’t assume they still feel the same.

The names with an “x” in front of them are those who do not allow direct posting on their facebook wall. The reason, most likely, is problems with people campaigning on the page. The House Ethics Committee says the facebook pages cannot be used for campaigning so when some innocent enthusiastic devotee gets on there and campaigns, they have to change it so no one can make direct posts.

Go to all the facebook pages listed, "like" the page and post something in favor Rep Barton's bill, HR 2366.

something as simple as "Please support the Barton Bill, HR 2366, to tax and regulate online poker."
