Over 8700 of us told Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl, Speaker of the House John Boehner, and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor to take action on legislation to license online poker via
the poker petition. As we approach the one year anniversary of Black Friday, let's all take action to make ourselves heard on this matter of our personal liberty.
I sent today's plan out as part of this week's PPA member update, so let's all pitch in to ensure good participation!
- To leverage the impact of the petition, let's send Sen. Reid, Sen. McConnell, Sen. Kyl, Rep. Boehner, and Rep. Cantor prefilled, editable tweets reinforcing the number of signatures: HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.
- Next, let's post and like pro-poker comments on their Facebook walls HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE. Let's also post HERE (KY residents only). Simply tell them that online poker enthusiasts won't go away or give up and that over 8700 people have signed the poker petition at www.theppa.org/changepetition. Let's also ask them to support legislation like HR 2366, the Online Poker Act.
- Let's send a prefilled tweet promoting today's action plan HERE, and let's share today's action on our own Facebook walls HERE.
Please reply in this thread with "tweeted", "done", etc.to encourage others to participate. The past 188 actions have generated triple-digit participation, so let's keep it growing. Thanks!
--------------
If you wish to do more today, please consider posting pro-poker comments to some the Facebook walls of some senators
HERE. We can't do them all at once, of course, but let's all try to hit at least three.
