May I please get some "likes" on these three? Only one was open posting, so the other two are comments in response to their latest postings.
Although the legislation they introduced is just for taxes, without it, the Barton (or other) bill will not pass so we need to show them some love. Thanks.
I'm not seeing enough love on these pages, people! On Barney Frank's page just click on the comments to his first post. Same with Campbell's page. For McDermott, just click on "most recent." Thanks!
With the introduction of the Barton online poker bill, let's all make sure we are respectfully telling Congress that we demand our rights! As the bill drop is on a Friday, let's hit this on Facebook and follow up with emails next week.
Let's focus on members of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce (The ones with an x in front of their names means they don't have open posting. Just respond to a post already on the page.) As we have a new event with the introduction of this poker bill, let's go ahead and own these pages for the weekend.
For manageability, I subdivided them into daily groups:
Day 2 in a row following action plan; with the Barton bill in motion I will likely find time to keep doing this when I return to WSOP next week. Glad I got to meet Engineer & others @ PPA booth in Rio.

Just did all of today's facebook list. Hope everyone is pushing forward. I'm excited about the potential of the Barton bill. We need to keep up the good work.
Anybody who doubts that hitting up Facebook has any real effect needs to think again. This article is on a Philly blog written by a guy who is not a poker player. He saw the posts that we were making on the Philadelphia Daily News FB page, replied in the thread here (FB handle is "A Proctor the Patriot"): https://www.facebook.com/permalink.p...83&id=10225873 and then did a good story.
One small issue: in cases where the person doesn't have open Facebook posting, let's be careful to not post in threads where it is totally inappropriate. A prime example is this one:
John Barrow makes a post announcing that he is going in for prostate cancer treatment, and there are a bunch of cut/paste poker comments in the responses. That doesn't look good.

I will not support the PPA because they conceded to blackout periods. Blackouts favor millionaire casino owners and Congress. Blackouts are not in the best interest of online poker players. By supporting blackouts, the PPA is doing a great disservice to people that earn their income from online poker.

I would likely support the PPA if they took a firm NO BLACKOUT stance.
I believe with this bill we are only looking at a 6 month blackout period before it goes into affect once passed, which is much better than the permanent blackout we are in now.
